In order, from best to worst:

  1. Three Quarters 4 (JJ McCarthy & Matthew Stafford, but AVOID Matty at all costs, his presnap delays are painful, rendering his cards essentially unusable)
  2. Three Quarters 5 (Baker Mayfield, Drake Maye GT, Poe OOP)
  3. Lower Three Quarters 2 (Anthony Richardson, Josh Allen)
  4. everything else. . .
  5. Over the Top 1 -- this is objectively THE worst QB release style in the entire game, it's basically what the out of position linemen typically get, not great.

However, the QB release styles are dramatically improved this year, to the point that there is no truly bad, in the sense of being unusable, QB throwing style... however, if you're playing against heavy pressure, such as Pinch Buck 0, Sam Will Blitz, etc. nothing is more important than ensuring the ball comes out quickly.  However, at a certain point, it's a bit of personal preference.
