I got Vangard, and I'm wondering where the best place to put him for the ability to work. He has secure and vanguard. I usally run inside zones to the left side.

Which player are you talking about?

Its best on OTackle, but only OGuards have it
You would have to put Kyle Long or Q Nelson OOP at Tackle, but keep them at backup guard so they provide the combine boosts

Can you explain RQ why it's best on tackles? Because i was assuming Center (Thats what im running rn), and I just don't know the logic behind having him at tackle.

I honestly prefer it on my Tight End, but could operate well on a pulling guard. I assume folks want to get outside runs and look for that one (or more) pancake blocks to spring them loose for a big gain. I'm not knowledgeable enough to determine what specific scenarios constitute an actual Impact Block, versus the regular O-line blocks/sheds, etc. but there's surely a specific calculation for all of these abilities and i suspect it's far easier to trigger from outside and second level runs.
I would tend to agree, any blockers that can get to second level, but especially great on a Center. My personal preference is almost always TE, can set up a simple HB Wham and be almost guaranteed a pancake and gaping hole to scurry through in the middle.

I was rambling (as i always do) and second-guessing myself this ENTIRE post... didn't have strong feelings on what/where to run Vanguard on the O-line. At the moment i'm not even using any Vanguard, wanted 2AP Tank on Vernon instead. Might revamp the abilities and try to more fully commit to the run game, but while almost exclusively playing House Rules, i've barely been toting the rock. Only to kill clock, if I've got a lead.
its best on a FB imo but I run lead block FB plays. Now to your question, if you pull a lot its fine on guards, if you don't than probably tackles
I run Vanguard on my TE but move him to FB in some formations when running

Really dependent on your run scheme. In past Maddens, Vanguard has been extremely effective on TEs. You would come out in a I-Form or Singleback formation and motion your TE out and quick snap the ball. The TE would typically make 1-2 pancake blocks up field. I have vanguard on Nelson and Kyle Long at guards and I have seen them get some pretty funny pancakes on power runs up the middle.
