There’s a lot of Derek Carr hate on here sheesh….!!! I find it funny no one mentions he’s a comeback king. Every winning and losing season he had with the Raiders, the Raiders D was atrocious. Let’s not forget 6 head coaches….. I love the Raiders, I truly do, but for Carr to break every QB record for the Raiders, he would have had an extremely better career if the organization was handled better.

Dude never won a playoff game in his career. They got a tribute card for that?

I was around 20 some odd years before he was born so yes.He may be better known but iconic ...never in this life time.

Of course! 😂 I'm talking versus other NFL starting QBs. The person posting this asked where his career tribute card was and he was amazing. I laughed at that statement. But of course he has talent or like you said he wouldn't have been a QB in the NFL for this long.

Carr never lived up to his potential.  Every year I expected him to break out but it never happened.   As a result, he does not deserve a tribute card .  So many that retire each year also do not get one.

So many players enter the league drafted early to dysfunctional teams. If they elevate their team despite those circumstances, it's quite a feat. If they hang on long enough for the dysfunctional elements (coaches, players, etc.) to wash out, sometimes you start to see the player begin to reach their potential. Having to move to another team will always prove to be a temporary setback, unless the next stop has a vastly superior situation. Derek Carr just never looked like he was about to turn the corner. He wasn't bad, but it doesn't seem he elevated ordinary supporting casts. I didn't see it, anyway.

Derek Carr had some good games. He does not enter into the Alex Smith tier of quarterbacks that could have been him, but whose ultimate ability could only be projected and not proven for lack of stability. The Raiders were committed to Derek Carr for many years, and he delivered a losing record over nine seasons. In what proved to be Derek Carr's final game as a Saint, he locked in his ultimate record as a winner for the team. If Bryan Breesee doesn't block a late 35-yard field goal attempt by the Giants, Derek Carr might have finished his career not being a winning quarterback for either of the two teams he played for. He was much more Ryan Fitzpatrick than he was Brett Favre.

He's not even close to Tribute material. That said, I don't see Julio Jones or Patrick Peterson as Hall of Fame-bound players either. They were top players at their respective positions for a year or two. They were not Tom Brady or Aaron Donald.
