When to sell? *thoughts&questions*

Hey all, right now as you see the market is very strong for all Zero Chill cards. Do you think it will hold thru let’s say 1/2 or will we start to see a drop any day now? Also could these cards remain relevant for next season or probably not? I’m saying no because we are losing the Tavon boost 1/9. I am debating selling off all players today but also want to play with my team tomorrow and new Years when I don’t work… unfortunately there’s no lasting relevant program boosts like last year. I’ll probably just keep Covertron and maybe Ted Hendricks, also the Jimmy Graham linebacker is nice

Tbh… I’m just gonna sell out today. Not even worth the risk. Probably going to be crazy offers with Part 7

I’ve learned to think long term when it comes to this game. Meaning, will these 93 and most 94 players still be viable for my team in say March or later? Probably not as we’ll have a slew of higher OVR’s to play with. With that being said, I’m selling soon and taking advantage of the current prices. Only cards I’m keeping atm will be Josh Allen and Fridge FB. Might keep Fridge all year actually.

I was looking at fridge and thinking ab that as well. I spent money on the game early and don’t want to spend more, gotta do the wise thing even if it’s not the most fun Smh. I appreciate the response. Just looking at the speed, I feel like playoff and SB are going to start 2-3 up on speed and acceleration. If there were a ghost/zero chill speed acceleration boost past 1/9, this would be a different convo

Just keeping players that fit my TT, selling everything else.  Players wont be worth it after boosts and 0 aps wear off

This is not like last year. The ghost team was useable for months because the zero AP abilities were permanent. Once 1/9 hits, these cards will be totally cooked. They will release the playoff promo that will have zero AP buckets that will be far better.

I started selling my high value cards over the weekend -- if yer asking "when" to sell, it's probably already starting to get too late.  Fantastic question, but you've got about ~48 hours until we see a bump to 94 OVR base cards, i believe.  Perhaps we'll see Part 7 (with Mahomes) later this week.  Who knows, who knows.

I'm not liquidating any of my LTD presents that i'm currently using, although I do wish i had been a bit more patient with certain presents -- i don't think i realized that Malik Nabers was the fastest base Speed receiver in the game right now, after Zero Chill boosts go bye-bye, that should help him retain some value.  Sold the following high ticket items: Randy Moss, Pola-Mao, Ed Reed, Malik Nabers...

but keeping anything under ~1M coins, such as these presents; George Kittle, Aidan Hutchinson, Dexter Lawrence, Calvin Johnson (both CB & WR), etc.  I still hope to enjoy the final ~week, or 10 days of Zero Chill while it lasts.  These boosts have been literally game-changing.  Difficult to overstate how much they've improved overall gameplay, especially on defense.  First time we've had a chance all year.

EDIT: Just checked, Ed Reed is already down over ~1M coins from when i sold him, a mere 48-72 hours ago.  Everyone is starting to think the same thing.  Gotta zig when everyone is is about to zag.

Yup, exactly. it’s a shame bc the big DBs and linebackers would be fun but they all gonna get blown by in about 2-3 weeks as cards all start having 95-97 speed and surely 99 with chem boosts

I have sold all but Covertron, Fridgerator, Hendricks CB, Gronk and Graham LBs and I got Phillips for 490k imma hold him, may be able to profit come weeks end. I wanted to enjoy the team for a couple more days but I can’t afford to lose millions and millions of coins.

6'7 user and dbs won't easily be replaced so there will definitely still be a use for some of these ZC items on my team.   The size attributes of some of these items is hard to replace.  

That being said, I could see playoff promo introducing ability discounts and boosts to make people jump.

Yup, the oversized defenders are all I’m keeping as well. 1 mil seems cheap for Covertron but maybe the market is saturated. Thanksgiving players lost 30-50% value over night and that will be the case for majority of these players too.

Merely trying to play the darn game requires or causes us to lose millions upon millions of coins, oof.  I don't get what people see in that Jimmy Graham MLB card, he is NOT good... definitely not elite.  I'd encourage everyone to swap him out for Anthony Barr's "Original Lurker" (who apparently now has LurkArtist ability available).

81 Change of Direction sounds brutal.  It's not September, that's horrid.
