When to buy

I’m boutta spend 2 mil+ on a theme team and I wanna know when the best time it’s gonna be to buy. I know prices are inflated because of the ladder event going on. Thanks for the help in advance!

clocks ticking, zero chill is over and we’re almost at the super bowl. games about to die and become end game

i would just buy who you want and worry about getting more coins later. With champs, the new H2H mode and ranked, there’s plenty of coins to be earned throughout the rest of the mut season.

i have 20m currently and I’m always such a scab with my coins, but just went out and spent 3m on cards i’ve wanted because why not. 

I’m also not a pack buyer, i’ve paid for the last two premium passes but that’s it. coins are achievable you just need to find profitable sets here and there and win competitive modes

I mean, it's a long year and it's extremely expensive to fund our squads. Although I guess if they only do a handful of RPs, it'll be much less than in prior years, when every team got something -- and this is all assuming you care about acquiring Rookie Premiers for Madden 26, as the potential end-game. There's infinite paths to that eventual conclusion, or whatever YOU decide is the ultimate goal. 

My point being, are you trying to go all in to compete at a high level right now, willing to pay a premium for incremental gains. My recommendation would be to field the cheapest team feasible to keep winning games. What areas are you struggling with? Now is not a great time to be buying, as you pointed out. Zero Chill was basically as low as the market could get, TONS of great upgrade opportunities. Now, not so much. Cards I bought for 200k a few days ago are often 300-350k+ or more. And heaven forbid you're trying to run a Lions theme team. 👊

Get a good QB with 2AP Gunslinger, add Gift-Wrapped and whatever else you prefer (Master Tactician? Set Feet Lead? or maybe RB Apprentice or couple blocking abilities, or a Tank somewhere). Don't forget Identifier, maybe as 0AP X-factor if you can reliably activate it. 

If your defense is giving up a lot of points, probably should spend there. But be patient, if feasible, we're about to get Superbowl promo. Cards with two discounted ability buckets are HUGE. Wait for those.

My last bit of advice is to not chase specific players, rather match up abilities to specific areas of the field, knowing what your scheme is. Playing mostly Zone? You probably want at least four MZKO on the field. Malcolm Jenkins (FS), Legends that dropped today gets it for 1AP, which is really huge. Kam (SS) 2AP. Anyway, much of this might be irrelevant for your scheme, but hopefully bits can help others. This is merely how I approach the game.

nvrmind, didn't see your budget.  honestly if you're only working with 2 mil you can probably build whenever since you're probably mostly buying 91s and 92s right?  the cards that should drop the most are the LTDS that people were scrambling for (like gerald mccoy who went from 700k-1.2m, but the lower ones really won't move in any massive way.

ive gotten up to 2.7 mil after doing the team diamond swap set. There’s about 5 93’s I wanna buy. When should I get those?

I’m also going for a 20/20/20 steelers Bucs and bears. (I already have Steelers players just need to buy Bucs and bears if that makes a difference)

At this pointjust wait until sb promo. Nothing good will come out leading up to the sb promo. This is a good time to take a 3 week break.

Buy them when you want? Waiting for other people to tell you when to buy cards doesn't seem like a good idea.

I would wait couple of days. Next week should be pretty decent week with new releases (AKA, Playoff part 2, Redux, Legends) and prices should slightly drop especially if you don’t want to buy latest (and too expensive) players. I think you can easily find five 93-94ovrs total under 1,5mil but let’s see what happens.
