what is the point of giving the new GG cards x factors and not abilities?

porter is a 89 and has real abilities - sorry if i am missing something and this is obvious!

Im guessing they dont want people holding onto these cards too long. Add a cute little "stat bonus" for the promo cards chemistry to lure people in,spend some $, drop most feared promo in two weeks with some nice abilities to make everything up to this point obsolete so people drop paychecks on most feared etc etc
