I shouldn’t have to come out in dime and hover over the center just to stop a basic run. I shouldn’t have to scum kick, abuse meta plays, or learn speed boosting just to be competitive.
And the worst part? Actually knowing football doesn’t even matter anymore.
Concepts, adjustments, understanding real schemes—it’s all irrelevant when the game rewards exploits over fundamentals.
At some point, it stops feeling like football and starts feeling like who can break the game better.
I’ve been playing Madden since the 90s, and I’ve spent more money than I’d like to admit trying to keep a competitive team. But now you can’t just hop on after a long day and enjoy it.
Everything revolves around the meta. If you’re not running it, you’re at a disadvantage, plain and simple.
This isn’t simulation football anymore.
