What do you consider a “cheeser”?

I see this word used a lot and I feel like everyone has a different opinion on what defines a cheeser, so how do you define it. Personally I think a cheeser is a guy who has to rely on blatant glitches such as the motion glitch this year, the stem glitch last year, any broken rpo, and if you know how to stop whatever glitch they’re trying to run they have nothing. In my opinion passing and beating people’s defenses is not cheese but I see many people say otherwise. Drop your opinion in the comments on what you think makes somebody a cheeser, I’m curious to see everyone’s thoughts.

I don't consider any player a cheeser...I'm fine with my opponents playing anyway they want.  If I'm not enjoying the experience I just concede and move on to the next opponent...but...I think it is fine for folks to play anyway they want (to include using glitches and/or coding errors to their advantage). At present I think I'm about 2-19 in H2H (not all of those losses were concedes...I've actually taken some really good beatings while learning).

Anyone who only uses 1-2 plays on offense and defense

ngl, I sometimes call people a cheeser/cornball when they are simply just beating me. granted, they also have to be doing the same thing over and over and over again (like a dude I played and made a post about who just hit is RB on a streak every play. Great play design, but I got bored of it and couldn't defend it so I called him a cheeser)

running youtube meta plays makes you a cheeser imo, if you have to look up how to beat defenses youre a cheeser, same for running defense if you have to look up an op blitz to win and run it over and over and it doesnt get blocked cheeser. Take last year for example when people figured out how to do loop blitzes that were unblockable until certain patches.

Honestly, I wish I would think more like Von. But...  if you learn glitch plays from youtube and whatever, you are a 🧀 and cheater. You are not good because you dumb out the AI. And for the love of God, please stop celebrating like you discovered the wheel after every BS play you run. The same guys call time outs at the end of the game, when up by 21. You know who you are. Stop it. Have some respect.

exactly this, youtubers and streamers ruined madden, before youtube took off for madden, you were either good or you werent, now everyone knows cheese plays, instant blitzes, routes that cant be covered. its pathetic. I wish youtube would stop showing their plays and telling people how to set them up. let people have to figure it out if they wana run it. just like i hate that it shows my opponent what i ran after the play is over. yeah you can see the formation when i line up on the field but you should have to figure out if its cover 4 or cover 2 with shades thrown in. but nah the game straight up tells em cover 4. then they just see your formation and know your in 3-3/ i hate it

There are lame cheesers, which literally know only one cheap tactic, as you described. Others actually dedicate themselves to cheese, and if you can stop one, try stopping all of them.

I stopped using "cheese" last year, and called it what it was: Cheating. It's an unregulated perversion of the game, it's unsportsmanlike, and it's a chump, bush-league move.

No, not really.  I think you know that cheesing happens and it’s not whether someone is beaten or not.  When people do things to over come the programming, that’s cheese, and yes, they usually win, that’s why they do it.  If a cheese usuaes plays they see on YouTube, they can be beaten, real cheese is the scum kick…constant crossing patterns all game.  It’s cheesy as helll and not fun to play against (or with, if you play squads)
