Used Marshall Faulk

I had the misfortune of pulling Marshall Faulk out of the BND Super Bowl Frenzy pack, and decided I'd give him a fair shake since he is generally a good card and people like the card. I have to say it was disappointing overall, I was able to run the ball with him and it was nice to occasionally be able to get lucky and just turn through a gap and get away for a TD, but he just did not have the fortitude to battle tough run defenses. He seems like a card that would be great vs bad or medium run defenses, but when it comes to facing actual competition he just isn't as tough, I have had a similar experience when playing against the card so this did not surprise me.

T'vondre definitely stays on top after this one, what you lack in the ability to speed boost for an occasional fluke TD you more than make up for by being able to run against any defense regardless of how tough it is. You can always break it down and consistently get to the end zone.

faulk is perfect for the people who run routes out of the backfield and like scrambling/making plays but inwouldnt use him as a run first player

Yeah, that makes sense to me. Definitely a good receiving back build. I even thought about lining him up at WR, just to use him for something but I haven't tried that yet.

Yeah, I don't pass more than like 2-4 times a game so I don't think about it too much. Height doesn't play a huge factor in the routes I run though, so not a dealbreaker for me

I got curious and tried him out early on and went back to Vick. Haven't had problems stopping him either... Marshawn with FT starting on did force me into a lot of adjustments in a couple games though. Haven't used him, but I have seen him be effective. Looks like it may all be moot today/tomorrow with Jeanty and K9 depending on what they come out with.

Yeah, I can't say there is any specific runningback who gives me major problems. I have never struggled to stop Vick, or pretty much any elusive back. Kamara is probably the best one I have faced.

He is not terrible or anything, just not great as an every down runner. He is too easy to shutdown if you know how to play tough run defense. He is good for a breakaway every now and again, and probably works if you don't run 97% of the game, but he is just not tough enough to be an every down runner

If u expect him to truck or stiff arm or run up the middle the entire game, your either using him wrong or he’s just not your play style, especially if they’re stacking the box.

That's my point, he is a little too dependent on wide open run lanes to be a consistent runner. I agree he can't do those things

I was using him as a 75/25 run vs pass and he was doing great for me. I used FT tank and HJ

Out of curiosity, what are your standard run plays and formations?

Forte gives me problems for some reason.  I have no problem with Vick.
