With all the stories of being banned and having all your coins swiped I'm more than a little leery of working the AH too hard.

I'm an 81 OVR 50/50 Lions squad with about 800K in coins.

I can’t answer for EA, but “Coin Distribution” bans are directly the product of an automated system that is looking for out-of-the-norm transactions. Just as a football player can be excellent or terrible despite out-of-the-norm statistical totals (terrible or excellent, respectively), the algorithms that identify potential bad actors operate within a set of parameters based on historical data, and almost all legitimate transactions will fall between extreme underpayment and extreme overpayment. (There are other potential data flags, but these are the big ones.)

When I say “aim high”, I don’t mean that you should sell a 110,000 coin item for 1,111,111 (we’ve all seen that). If you can sell an item for 20-40% of it’s going rate because it is highly sought, that shouldn’t trigger a ban, as that’s happening hundreds, even thousands of times on any given day (and much more frequently at times of high market volatility).

I can’t answer for people who have been banned in the past. Some admitted to transactions outside those permitted under the terms of the Terms of Use, and at that point, they should expect nothing better than a coin wipe and the loss of Auction House access. Others appear to have accumulated an exceptionally high number of priced-at-minimum snipes when the rest of the MUT world was asleep (or an exceptionally high number of priced-near-max sales with few similar sales from other users during an unspecified length of time). If you’ve eaten, don’t keep gorging yourself. You’ll probably never have a problem.

You should be proud of it. Definitely better to have 83 OVR and 2.2m than 84 OVR and 300k.

I have no doubt there are users that claim NMS and actually spend significant amounts of money. At the same time, I have learned enough about currency and binder management to not live poor in MUT. I just have to spend a statistically significant amount of time playing MUT Menus.

It’s really not that hard. Take the following as a reference of how easy it is to learn this, not as a veiled insult: In real life, do you maintain and restrict yourself to a budget? Do you buy what you need when you need it? Or on the other hand, do you buy what you don’t need? Do you buy older model phones or used phones, or do you buy new, and do you always buy the newest?

There are strong parallels between how we view money and how we manage currency within MUT. A lot of the users that already have many millions of coins haven’t yet accumulated lineups with the best of the best at every position; they’re disciplined to pay for what they need to make more coins efficiently, ensuring that when MUT reaches the place where a top lineup is necessary to win, they’ll be in a position to pay.
