Unpopular Opinion: Abilities are the worst thing to happen to madden.

I think personally is that if they want to keep abilities they should do it like in madden 20.

If they code the game so that quarterbacks without abilities don’t float balls then sure.

Go play Quick Games then , obviously  it’s a “Ultimate” team for a reason . its boring game modes with less abilities so why don’t you go play that?

Discounted abilities definitely ruined 23. I think a compromise is they go back to only 3 active on each side of the ball. 
 

But they use abilities now to sell packs. The next selling point is 2 zero abilities.  We may see 3 before its over. Makes it really easy for them to recycle big names and cash in multiple times throughout the year.

I’ve personally got a lot of use out of abilitit’s as I was getting better at the game. Now I’m a pro and they help with little thing here and there

I would better like players that upgrades with the time, the more you play with one player, the most decisive actions you make with him upgrades the card. And along this, the higher his overall goes up, the more automatic abilities are applied to the player. I think abilities aren't a bad thing by itself, its just that the game is so unbalanced with some of them that most players ends playing all the same way. I would like to be able to play the players i want and making them better by playing with them. Having a QB that gain built in bazooka if you achieve some amount of long passes or having a Rb that gains bulldozer with certain amount of succesfull truckings. The problem with abilities is the fact that EA just don't do anything to balance them, some are game breakers some are useless.

This. I would love stat based power ups. You could even require certain cards be in H2H games, or that stats only count with wins so people don’t tank just to try to upgrade one skill on a player.

The problem is that if EA want's to sell packs they will never allow this IMO

i dont think abillities should be removed i think they should be nerfed

It definitely does make it a less skill needed game

Whatever it think they should be removed altogether.

🎯  imo u couldn't be more correct  this arcade version of tecmo bowl random animations and outta all sport games almost every other game baseball hockey basketball f1 racing    track and field, they all come closer than this game by a country mile.. my furniture breaks children fly , it's not normal but the game and sound of the wife cooking,,,
