Tip: Relentless + DON over Colossus

Just reached Champ in record time (for me) and am not going any further to preserve my mental health and avoid another costly divorce due to all the raging at the TV here lol. What helped is using RELENTLESS paired with DON on Suh (versus the more popular Colossus). I'm on top of the stats leaderboard for him with 69 sacks with most of these in ranked games. I typically drop at least one if not two d-linemen in my scheme so he's compiled this shorthanded AND I only have a partial PHI TT. As @peatrick tends to say, "your mileage may vary," but give that a shot. 

I had Colossus at first but noticed more impact with this other combo. Hope that helps some people out there!

I'm trying to talk myself into chasing that Tariq CB, but not sure I have the mental fortitude (or spare time) to devote to dozens of Ranked games, oof. Both of my controllers already have stick drift bad, they won't survive me spiking them on the floor in a fit of nerd rage. 🎮

Not to mention, I'm such a damn child, quite often when the little mouthy fuckers get on the mic I'm not mature enough to simply mute them, my wife absolutely hates it when I start hollering back, but those little racists really set me off. Causes far too much grief. Maybe someday I can grow the fuck up and handle some Ranked play. Dunno if it'll be this cycle, though.

Appreciate the pro-tips, I've been using Indoor Baller (1AP) hoping to get my Unstoppable Force activated, with just 1 sack or TFL.

lol I’ve played in silence for years and it’s been a joy. Yeah Woolens the only reason I went another round but if it’s like every other ranked reward since S1, then those cards will probably be outdated quickly. At least CB’s a position of depth so hopefully that’ll help. 

I honestly wasn’t sure I’d jump into ranked first weekend with ZC boosts but it worked out as I guess I was able to take advantage of frozen freight train. My HB Vick’s got over 13000 yards in h2h 😂. 

Gotta admit, 70% of my games were against instablitzes and the same 3 plays on offense. You’ve seen em lol.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You’re worried about getting to champion division? I can give you a solid defense to run that will help you get a lot of stops if you are interested.

198 but still good for me as he’s rushing short handed as I always drop at least his edge mate back and sometimes spying his DT next door 🤫 . After I went in to confirm for you, I found that Legend Reggie White at DT with DON had the same production but I swapped him out for the ghost boosts/abilities. That card outplays its ratings for sure.

Edit: and just for added context, I don’t call blitzes and rely on coverage sacks in man and all my ap beyond DON and a handful of run stopping abilities during ZC goes into my coverage guys. If you click on t diggs, cb moss, cb Owens, Carmichael, Hendricks etc… you’ll see I’m 1-2 in picks on each one with 90+ with Diggs alone. I user my edges. I’m old and am too shitty to user my lb… cant lurk to save my life… dont force fumbles nor have ap for avalanches… and will never be able to keep up with them top 100 cats as those who figure it out will dot me the f up especially on deep crossers if I can’t get pressure on the qb in time, but for the majority of folks, what I run causes enough confusion to work for me and makes it fun. 😂

I’ve been following your comments/posts on here for a couple weeks now and had noticed you at the top of the stats for basically every card in your lineup. I was already very impressed and thinking you must be insanely good at the game.

Thanks brother! No. I am not great 😂. Like I said, those who actually are, dot me the F up and if I have to resort to switching into zone, that’ll help save me a little but I’ll be at a disadvantage because my guys are all wired ability-wise to provide fast sticky man coverage. 

re: d-line user… yep… again I’m old and not as good as the “pros” but at least it’s usering the edge and using them as essentially a third sublb so gimme at least some credit there hahaha. 🤦🏻‍♂️ hell I staff that role with a Sam or will actually (during ZC and this ranked run it’s been Ware and the Taylors so definitely not your conventional edge as I need them to have coverage abilities AND run stopping while it’s free).

I’m old too and I have always played the game however I choose, so I applaud the creativity. It’s been a while for me but I have usered d-linemen in pass coverage and had a lot of fun with it.

Even now I will user up to 5 different players in a H2H game based on what I’m seeing from the offense.

I wish I had a decent sticky man coverage scheme, I’ve never really been able to get anything that would actually lockdown a good player and zone is so easy to pass against this year.

Thank you, VERY much for the kind offer. It's purely a matter of having to suffer through a sufficient number of Ranked games, MUT already tends to feel liek a bad job at times. I've enjoyed dropping into Squads games in the evenings after wr0k with the boys. 

Heck, doing ten (half) CPU games for the tall corner was enough of a chore. I assume I could do it in ~forty games, or so, but sounds tedious and exhausting. Appreciate the offer, none the less. You're nice. 

I mostly play a lot of Cover 4 Drop and try to keep everything under me and hope my pass rush gets to work. My defense tends to get better as games go on, eventually I get three Unstoppable Force going and one of them usually sheds.
