Looks really good so far, but there’s too many cards getting all 32 Team Chems. I run a 50 Broncos TT and it just feels like 70% of the cards on my team aren’t even going to be Broncos. I think it’s great for NMS but I definitely miss having to sit here and think about how to build a TT and minimize the weak areas. It’s just not challenging to build a team anymore.
I agree with the 32 team chems thing. I don't even feel like my seahawks team has that many seahawks on it lol
Well it’s called ultimate team, not ultimate theme team. Cards getting all 32 team chems gives everyone a chance to use players they like despite them not being apart of their theme team

Great point.

Respectable counter argument

So then insread of every card being 32 TT eligible, get rid of theme teams or do something where lower end cards are boosted more. The boosts can change as overalls increase but if right now the 92+ cards got +1 boosts, 88-91 got +3, 84-87 got +5 etc then it would make lower end TTs more competitive without making it like this year where you can run a full team of 32 team chem players.
Right now anyone that wants to be competitive is running a team with 20 from the active program and 50 from the Raiders (or whoever has a few cards they want to boost) and then filling it mostly with players that didn't play for their theme team but still get the team chemistry.
If players didn’t get 32 chems, there would only be a couple of viable TTs at any point in time. People would be upset their team sucks compared to the raiders and 49ers, and they’d be upset the free players favor other teams instead of their own. 32 chems is a compromise to make it viable to run other TTs/use your favorite team’s players without having to suffer too much for the positions where your own TT is lacking.
My preference would also be to use players who actually played for my team, but it would require them releasing a ton of cards to make it fair. All in all, it feels like a reasonable solution to me.
I think they are addressing complaints about the raiders TT by giving people the option to use another squad and be competitive. This is def a good move for all the stuff they mess up

I agree with this. That's always been the gripe is people complaining about a lack of good cards for their TT, so this was EA's solution. All in all, people will always find a gripe lol. I don't mind it, personally. I haven't played in a few years, but picked it back up last month and quickly got to a 92 ovr team without spending much money at all aside from buying the premium pass for the season field pass.
Go Broncos, btw!!! Speaking of gripes... I hate that the vast majority of the Broncos TT top end cards are LTDs lol
My bears tt is about 50% bears so I'm happy!
As someone who barely spends money in MUT, I think the all-32 team chems is great. It gives me a chance to compete with my theme team, spend my coins where I want to spend them, and get to use cards that are outside of my normal theme team.
There are literally no downsides to this strategy by EA. If you don't like how many 32 team cards there are, just don't use them.
