This game makes no sense

Good day, everyone  

We are coming towards the end of the year and yet I’m still seeing my cards getting the same outcomes from when the game started, I thought these things were happening due to their overalls 

I can go through every position of this game and list some kind of flaw that doesn’t work correctly, but I’m not going to do that because that’s to long but it’s the little things that get me annoyed with this game for example, how am I with my 94  overall line  getting sacked instantly without even stepping back once when I’m under  center before even handing the ball off. They cannot  even program the game correctly to block where you can at least run some kind of plays under center.   

Unfortunately majority of the people that play this game cheese online but still my Line should be able to block for more than a second.  I have an ability on my quarterback that says perfect pass accuracy on ALL deep throws yet he sails the ball to the sidelines, or overthrows the player just like any other quarterback I had all year without the ability 

I mean, there’s just so much in this game that doesn’t make any sense. I don’t understand how they have the audacity to advertise step packs or even pack  offers  for those prices when this game is completely a mess and it’s just basically based on exploits. I played some guy who passed  the ball off to his half back in the backfield then he passed the ball  with no abilities 40 yards downfield better than my actual quarterback , and there was no defender on the guy whatsoever. Because the game got fooled and didn’t continue coverage Then I played another person who put his guy in motion hiked the ball in man coverage and there was nobody on  him whatsoever.

 I can go on and on  and on it’s just becomes  very disappointing and upsetting to play this game online. The  aspect of building your team and everything else seems to be OK in this game but the online play is just so bad. I’m really at the end of my rope with this game.

Everything you said. There are no solutions if you aren't spending money or whittling away hours on the Auction House, while also watching videos that lay out all of the cheese plays and the cheese play counters. Then EA patches the game, and now you have to learn new cheese plays and new cheese play counters.

Meanwhile, only the most superficial of football knowledge means anything.

Worst game in Madden history...

You mentioned the team building aspect of the game being good...I would agree.  I also agree with your points on H2H...I have started playing a lot of H2H the last couple weeks and everything you noted is spot on...but...I won numerous games I would have never won if I didn't play.  I also had a few really good games vs some really good folks (about 1 out of 10).  The good thing about H2H is I can bounce whenever I want...at the first sign of bull I'm out.  I was up 14-0 in the first quarter yesterday and my opponent decided to get on the mic and start ranting...and...I was out.  I try and just have fun with it...and when it ain't fun I concede and go back in (at times I then get matched up in a fun game).

For the millionth time - its a game. No one would play it if their team either won every game or lost every game. It would get boring.

Best way to play is to have a team and a scheme you are happy with. Take the losses you don't deserve the same way you take the wins. Good players bat above .500 over the long haul, poor players don't but it won't be by a big margin unless you really know what you're doing.

Whatever you do, do not spend money expecting it to give you a massive advantage because it won't and, if you're not very good, it'll make no difference at all.

For what its worth, I came up against this yesterday and it can be stopped pretty easily. I just went Cover 4, man'd the Safety to the WR that was the RB's intended target and then User'd his 2nd read. Job done. He quit after the 2nd INT.

Well, yes, I suppose I did "guess what he was doing"? Isn't that the point of playing Defense? To see what the Offense is doing and try to scheme against it?? And trust me bud, it took no "labbing" at all; I man'd the Safety and that was it?? Like, 1 pre snap input? Oh, I also predicted the pass and set my coverage over the top whenever he came out in the formation that beat me first time. 3 buttons, not 1. Sorry but, come on, what do you want? Defense to play itself?

Having said that, I get the frustration. In real life a Defense would make those adjustments automatically and they don't in Madden. There definitely should be some kind of coded penalty when players run the same cheesy shit over and over. But EA are lazy and don't care one bit about User experience so it won't happen.

My point about it being a "game" was not to compare it to real life. You've misunderstood. I meant it's a game. You play games for entertainment. It's not meant to be real life. No one would play a game where the strongest side always beat the weakest - it would be boring for both the winner and loser. TBF, I agree with you though - numbers on cards should mean something but there's no point in thinking or believing that because they quite clearly do not. It's best to treat Madden as a game, not a simulation. Trust me, you'll stay sane if you do.

I understand what you’re saying, but let’s say for instance I make it to the playoffs or I’m one game away from getting to the Super Bowl or even  in the Super Bowl and  now I get matched up against somebody who was exploiting the game it’s not that easy to just quit and unfortunately this is what happens and that takes away the fun from the game because whether you’re in the playoffs or whether you’re just playing in general, you’re mostly going up against people that exploit the game and you can’t really blame the player at this point you have to look at the company after this long  with their product being out and start saying what are they doing to prevent these issues? Are they not allowing a play to be spammed after three or four times? Are they allowing blocking to be bad if you spam a play after a certain amount of times ?  Maybe get an automatic film study ability kick just something to keep the game feeling good. 
unfortunately they have not considered to make the game more enjoyable as it should be because like you said you are playing a game.

your commitment to this new character is incredible 

however I think we would all enjoy it more if you flooded this post with emojis 🤣 🤣 🤣

Hey, listen, I get it. Truly I do. But I honestly don't see this issue as much as it seems to be posted on here and I generally have no problem beating guys that spam 1 play over and over because, most of the time, its all they've got and when you take that play away, they're done. 

What annoys me is more when I'm playing my usual game and the team I'm playing against is either playing hero D or my Offense just flat out sucks. Most players know these games - super tight coverage, psychic non user players, waaaay too many catch knock-outs, fumbles (oh my GOD fumbles!!) run stuffs on crucial short downs etc etc etc. Don't get me wrong though, I really don't like winning games I shouldn't either. And I get those quite often too. That's when 'the game' has its hands on the scales and its that that I hate the most. Just let the 2 players play each other FFS!

But EA wont allow that. They know that the biggest chunk of the player base is a casual gamer with no massive desire or time to play enough to be any good and also a really short attention span. Lose too much and they're out, so the game HAS to balance things out or they'll leave. Then another big chunk are the committed but average and the committed and good players. They've got to win sometimes but no one wants to be unbeatable however much they think they do. Its all about engagement which, when all is said and done, is the only point to any game from the game developers' perspective.

I totally feel your frustration as a long time madden fan. I 'm glad i don't spend money and contribute to this madness.  The more money people spend the more E A won't bother to fix anything  (i mean why would they??  the money keeps coming in....)

Unfortunately it's only getting worse with the new cheese abilities coming ...
