Long time vet. Really starting to lose interest in MUT though. First, step up offers that cost $500 total is just insane. Second, they need to do something for pack odds as cards have gotten to be way too expensive on the AH. Seems like every card I need for my team is a LTD and each promo costs me 5+ million just to build my team. How am I supposed to keep up with that unless I spend $500 on their dumb offers. EA and their employees are insane for what they have and its no wonder their way down this year. I wouldn’t even mind spending a little here and there if it was worth it but I am not spending $20 to get a bunch of BND cards
You arent alone. We are all dumbfounded. How can they continue to get away with this madness. Need a big change to thier philosophy because this f you pay us attitude isnt it. Crazy how they used to interact and communicate with the community monthly a few years ago and now just leave us in the dark but continue to pump out insane priced bundles. Theres no logic involved at EA.
The key is to build a big stack early in the year and be smart about what cards you invest in. you don't need the newest cards to win

That's the part that really kills me. There is ZERO communication from EA regarding anything. I got perm-banned on the reddit sub simply for asking clarifying questions about H2H ranked, what constitutes top 100 and why they keep changing the rules every month. I guarantee those mods are acting on behalf of EA. Obviously EA just wants everything swept under the rug rather than taking accountability for the shit-stain of a company they are.
I just sold my cj Gardner and slay off my eagles tt because of redux. But I agree as a eagles tt since after zc. All my key players cost an arm and a leg
I agree as well. I thought last year was expensive, but we are starting to see 4M cards again this year. Crazy thing is, I'm seeing them frequently in H2H. I've been playing madden for almost 20 years. Think its almost time to hang up the cleats for good.
EA don't care.......sadly the dumb customers will spend no matter what. I'm glad I skipped this year. EA are just greedy gnawing rats
Totally agreed... been playing MUT since the beginning, and have watched it evolve into this. It's nothing, but a cash grab now. You either spend thousands or play massive amounts of time trying to inch your way to a coin stack without spending. H2H isn't even fun anymore... it's nothing but what abilities you run and what glitchy plays you know. I play nowadays just cause I've played so long, it's part of my routine. MLB the Show is slowly getting here, but is still way less of a money grab and I can play H2H even if I'm not sinking time and money in like this. All the young guns in this game have no idea how great MUT was 10 years ago.

Problem is, I feel like I DO play a massive amount and my coin stack hardly increases! The first few seasons I was able to build up coin pretty good as cards I pulled actually had value. Now, you cant pull anything remotely valuable unless you get extremely lucky or spend big $
That's why I barely play anymore. I started spending early and grinding here and there, but if I took a break for life was left behind. The only time grinding is worth it is in seasons when you haven't played and you level up several weeks and promos at once. The game had gotten brutal. It's grind like a full-time job, spend thousands, or get left behind. I just barely play MUT and get a few H2H regs games a week to get my fix in H2H. This year has finally gone past that line of commitmen per enjoyment. Like said even if you keep up a competitive squad... it's still tainted, because unless your glitching your not winning.
I've been saying it for 10 years. They won't stop unless people fully stop playing the game and buying packs. A week long protest would be nice but you'd need the influencers and none of them will do shit about it because it would hurt their wallet. So, we're stuck.

This game every year finds new ways to cut down on making coins without having to spend money. First they did away with coin pack fire sales, then they dumbed down the amount of coins and packs you could make from challenges. Solo battles and weekend league have been completely nerfed for the average player. They used to give back cards you could put into sets so you could resell them on the AH. Then they introduced NAT cards, later to be replaced by BND cards which can't go into any sets and they have nerfed training rolls. Lastly, they got rid of the actual power up system in this game which was a great way of making coins. You could just invest in lower tier cards anticipating that a player would get an upgrade and then you could make millions come promo time. Absolutely done with EA, we need to make the shareholders suffer even more. DO NOT BUY PACKS OR SEASON PASSES, DO NOT BUY THE GAME NEXT YEAR, AND DO NOT BUY EA STOCK.
This is the time of year where it makes it easier for me not to play and indulge in different hobbies. I’ll get on here and there to scratch the football itch but if you don’t have the coins you’re pretty much at a disadvantage due to the newer cards getting all the discounts and built in x factors. No scheme can counter a decent player with loops/cover 0 with unstoppable force, bottle neck press with universal coverage.
