I used my spotlight tokens to get the new Ed Too Tall LB and he has been TERRIBLE for me. He’s boosted to 98 speed for me and a 99 ovr, but he plays worse than he’s zero chill card. Every time somebody runs a rout with the halfback, no matter what it is, if Ed Too Tall is on him, he’s open. I’m I crazy or do any of you feel the same?
Yeah man I tried him and he just moves so awkwardly that he gets stuck behind everything in coverage. Even as a user I kept getting tangled up in coverage and it caused several penalties. Something I’ve rarely had with any other user.
I enjoyed the zero chill version as well and he seemed like he moved better at that time.
His size/weight puts him in the slower moving threshold so despite having 98 speed he will move/adjust angles at a slower pace than someone who is under 245 lbs. Some say its similar to moving in quicksand but thats just how animations on larger/heavier players are coded.
Would have to agree. So sluggish and dam near needs a 3 point turn around. im still rochin him tho for now

Yeah I feel the exact same way. He also can’t be played at LEDGE because in certain sets he gets an offsides. I’m thinking about moving him to DT and running him there.
use his height to your advantage, use him one of the sublb rushers in mid blitz and either rush him w user and try to swat passes when you cant reach the qb or have him drop into deep zone from blitz…he will probably catch anything over the middle this way

Not a bad idea. Sucks that you used tokens on him though.

I refuse to run mid blitz. It’s a cheesy play that requires nano blitzing to be effective. I run saw blitz as my main defense so maybe he could be a good DT there

Yeah I just assumed he would be like his Zero Chill card. I like running fast players at DT though so he’ll prolly be effective for me.
Yeah you need to basically use him a very specific way since he's not just going to be a guy who can run around the field and change directions. Play him near the LOS and use his height to lurk and pick passes off while playing underneath most routes.

mid blitz requires no “nano blitz” whatever u think that would be, its the easiest play to send max rushers and cover man, you have the option to zone either or both of the sub lbs in anyway you want
midblitZ is the easiest blitz to call and customize, people fall for the show blitz and then get intercepted when the sub lb or both fall into coverage
it also beats alot of the plays people bitch about as “meta plays” so i can see why people get upset when they cant even defeat it 😂

Mid blitz is unbelievably easy to defeat if you know what you’re doing. Just run inside or run a multiple RPO, or send your halfback on basically any route. But the people who faze their MLB into the DT and other LB are the people I’m talking about. That’s when it becomes almost impossible to beat.

you describing the hover over nt, shit can be defeated just like you described w the mid blitz, same with the 6-1 setup with multiple blitzers grouped to each side and the lb hovering just back over the center
anyway they can play whatever play they want thosr are the rules

I actually get kinda excited when I see someone running mid blitz. At least 9/10 times it’s an easy W. Super rare that I take an L from someone primarily running mid blitz.
definitely moves slow even boosted all the way like you said, but i've taken the good with the bad in that i've gotten over a dozen lurks with him being a tree in my scheme where i don't need him to move much. if i find in-game that he's getting burnt too much, i'll adjust and worst-case i'll sub him out. bummed because his ZC Mike card was unbelievable.
