SUPER BOWL THEME TEAM?

So there is no SB Theme Team? More SB players aren't necessarily better.

There are only upgrades for the Champions and discounted abilities for those and the LTDs.

You can receive boosts for SB players from one of two welcome pack players as they are upgraded.

The SB Promo only lasts for a couple of weeks before some of the benefits go away.

So unlike ZC the typical theme teams and existing programs still play a big roll, sprinkle in a SB card or two where it makes you better?

Agreed but many of these cards are still the best in the game right now. I built/pulled/ or bought all of the SB Past 95s and 96s except Kupp...they're just fun to play with. Too bad none of these have NYG chems but I am still able to run 40/40 NYG with most of the SB Past cards in my lineup

Another issue is by the time you can get White or Trent maxed out to get the boosts on the champs, the promo will be almost over LOL. I don't need boosts on 85s, 89s, or even 92s. Most of us only need the boosts for the champs and maybe a couple 92s

Yeah best to mix these in to theme teams. I have 20/20/20 and room for like 10 more at this point. So adding Superbowl players that I view as impactful even after promo. Especially with these ap discounts everywhere.

Exactly. No one is worried about boosting anything less than 95's at this point in the year.

It's the same as the Season promos and just about every other "free" promo cards.
You don't get the 95 and 96 upgrades until there are already better cards in the game.

I agree, some of the cards are great and will be fun for the next couple of weeks but not worth blowing up a theme team and dumping all your other cards I don't think like we did for ZC.

If this is as good as it gets and only lasts for a couple of weeks I think it's safe to say the SB promo is a bust.

Yup, absolutely. SB promo last year went absolutely crazy… I think outside of ZC, this years game was just built for true TT and that’s not a terrible thing tbh

This is what I did during the divisional round of the playoff promo, I bet on the side of the eagles and chiefs by switching my 40/40 bears TT to a 40 Eagles 20 chiefs TT.  Any variation of Chiefs and Eagles will become the Meta in Feb. 

Wait until SB present drops.  And you can get Devin White and Trent Williams to 95 to boost all champs and 92s. That's when you will see the real potential of a SB theme team. 

The only crappy part (I don't think was explained) do the SB attribute boosts stay after 2/13?  I know the abilities go back to normal AP pricing. If they go away, then this TT is going to be expensive and very short term.

I've added a couple of Super Bowl Champions but not LTDs while maintaining a 40/40 Lions and 20/20 Eagles TT but leaning towards what you're thinking as well and pivoting towards a 40/40 Eagles. Depending on what plays out over the next couple of weeks I will either keep a 20/20 Lions or maybe move towards Chiefs, possibly Ravens.

If the Mystery players have value after the 13th and some of the discounts or bonuses still apply it might salvage the promo.

I agree. One aspect of the game I have actually enjoyed has been the theme teams.

Doesn't make a lot of sense to sell off all your cards and put a lot of coins in to the SB promo if there isn't much more to it, however.

If the leaks are true and the mystery CB Is Ty Law and the HB is Marcus Allen along with LTD Okoye and all of the other SB promos cards that will land next week the Chiefs are going to be OP.

I really hope the SB MVP isn't a Chiefs card (please be Barkley) but that could be another one for them.
