Hey guys, gonna rant a bit.

I played Madden 22, 23, Madden 24 (until about after the superbowl), and wasn’t planning on installing this game until it came into game pass for free. I’ve played a few games on H2H, and here’s my rant.

Since I just started the game, I have nothing. But, seems like Madden hasn’t changed over the years at all in matchmaking. My first game‘s top 3 is 96’s and 97’s (which I assume is the best right now) and immediately get kick returned. Anyways, I try my best, and he barely wins off a touch down. My next 2 games are the exact same.

Now, good gameplay experience. I am actually having fun, like a lot. Defense has always been a problem, with man coverage being always crazy and meta, but now? Seems actually balanced. Another thing are catches. Passes actually get punished, and knocked out. Also, there isn’t a boat load of interceptions or crazy deflects (Maybe because not everyone has pick artist yet?).

Negative gameplay experience. If I had to rank this gameplay compared to all the maddens, it’d be the best. Anyways, negative things are first the break tackles. Feel like my 86 ovr Gronk shouldn’t be shedding 2 tackles each time, and a random 94 ovr abilitie-less rb shouldn’t break 9 tackles for a 99 yard touchdown (Yes, this did happen to me). Now, the lag. I never lag, I have an Xbox series x and my internet is pretty good. But madden gameplay is so, so laggy, which has been a problem with each madden I’ve played, but this one is easily the worst. Also, the menus are even slower. feels really clunky and awkward.

Now, I’d like some advice. Without suggesting challenges (unless they’re really op and needed), what should I do? And if it is challenges, which challenges? Also, are TT’s viable? because I’m an Vikings fan and I’d like to use a Vikings TT, a thing I do in every madden.

The best advice I can give...Get as far as you can in the field pass tonight, check through the rewards, and if they look like something you want, then grind it out, Solo Seasons is the easiest for almost all the Weekly S5 Objectives. Servers will go down for the new season at 6 AM tomorrow, do not use any of your tickets imo, just save them cause these newly revealed S6 Cards are cracked, and get ALL 32 TEAM CHEMS.

Theme Teams are honestly more viable this year than ever because there aren't the ridiculous SB Chemistries and shit (good in my opinion). And challenges-wise, there is a free 94 Playoffs card in the Playoffs field pass, and a free 95 SB card in the SB field pass, do those ASAP, go with cards for your theme team, or do some more research, both Deions are great, Kelce, Devonta Smith, Nitschke, Lynch, Adderly, they are all great, whatever ya want to do.

If you do decide to do a theme team, do 40/40 Vikings or maybe even do 40/20 or 20/20/20(I'm doing this rn with Falcons, Packers, and Buccaneers), to help you with this, do the Team Builders Solo Challenges, it gives you a ton of Tokens that you can use on 82s, 86s, 87s, and 90s, of your respective theme team and get x2 Chems, makes it very easy to get a theme team filled out. Make sure to upgrade and do Team Captain Field Pass, you can upgrade team captains up to 94 OVR, you can get I believe two to 94 right now, and most the cards aren't that great but even if they are for backups, they get 3x Team Chems, and you can mix and match too so you could do 2x Vikings 1x Whatever other team, etc.

If you need a free decent WR, do all of the Zero Chill Solo Challenges with 2+ Zero Chill players in your lineup, giving you a 91 Julio that can be upgraded to 94 with training. "The Cellar" challenges also gives you a free Sean Taylor OLB that's quite decent and can be upgraded with training. Idk man, just check out field passes, and do as many solo challenges as you can tolerate, the Legends solo challenges in total give you enough tokens for 5 full free legends (2 from the Legends field pass). Tons of things to do tbh.
