In the beginning of the year people are desperate for coins so they sell them for 10-11k and I usually buy like 500-750 of the common ones. Once the new set drops I do the exchange and sell the expensive ones and hold the cheap ones. On top of that when new the new set drops I’ll buy more from the auction house because people will sell them for almost quicksell value. There’s extreme upside and very little risk. It just requires time and patience. For example right now you can find quite a few epic Strat cards for like 40-45k because the new set just dropped. I was selling a bunch for around 100-110k while keeping the ones that only go for 45-55k for the legendary set.

That's kind of my point -- the "value" changes from day to day and week to week, but regardless of whatever the value is determined to be, EA are the ones who control the minimum and maximum price value.  Obviously coin sellers have found creative ways to exploit this, because they're better at their jobs than EA is/are.  It's not difficult to focus on the same series of Platinum cards that have no value to most players, but can artificially inflate those prices, to make it more convenient to move coins around while evading the ban hammer.

Where am i going with this conversation?  Don't hate the player, hate the game.  It's not that difficult of a concept.
