Id guess I've spent close to $200.. am I alone in this category or is there others like me? With that being said I consider myself above average skill and I'm only a handful of games over  .500 which now that I'm typing it makes me feel less average

I’m sms as well and I honestly believe it’s Scheme over Team ..some times you’ll lose games because their players are just better..But I’ve beaten a lot of God squads just having a better scheme ..I’ve also lost to guys with overalls lower than mine by 2-3 because I couldn’t stop theirs..so yeah you’ll lose some games bc your players just don’t add up but having a solid scheme will fix most of that

1000% agree ..it really isn’t that hard to develop a solid scheme once you understand the game..using glitches in the game to help you just lmk you can’t do that and that whoever you’re more than likely a loser

Have multiple ways to win games…

I don’t care what plays my opponent is calling on offense or defense… It’s my job to try and stop what they are doing…

I have a 90 overall 55/60 Packers TT NMS. This has been an easier ranked season than the last. I'm currently at 16-6. I've lost to some God squads, but beat a few too. Need 8 reliable plays that you know where to go against any coverage (if the opponent is GREAT at switch stick, it doesn't matter how good your squad is or the plays, you will likely take an L).  Last ranked season was a super sweats, I was 37-36 to get to champ 1.  Just keep grinding, man.

try building a theme team u get perks in alot ways that might help

defense is a lost hope if you can get lock down corners they still getting mossed its like they don't even try some dude threw into quad coverage and still mossed every one of my dbs yet I do it and EVERYTHING gets picked. you should win if you get ball first and play it smart

I hate the people that run 2 plays all game as well, but it's not cheating. Just a loser way to play the game.

I’ve only lost 1 game in ranked so far. NMS but I did get Jaycee Horn twice and Calen Bullock form the h2h events to sell. 

I feel like this year more than ever before it’s easier to compete NMS. A lot of great free cards. I think scheme matters a lot when playing with cards that aren’t elite. You have to be strategic on where you let slide behind on the roster. I focus on DBs when I want to get a upgraded card. Defensively I blitz a lot to get pressure and not allow 95 speed WRs to burn me. Offense is easy, but I use a lot QB designed runs to force people out of popular meta defenses like the 3-2 odd loop most good players are using. 

Playing  a scheme that is off-meta helps because most people have something to stop the many versions of gun bunch or beat mid blitz/3-2 loop blitz. So coming out in something different helps because they have to adjust to you instead playing the same defense they’ve copied from their favorite pro or streamer.

Make a tt and the most important part, STICK to it. So many 32 chem cards this year it is easy to make a 50/55 tt. Gives all your players +2 speed and +accel + a ton of other boosts which will allow you to keep up. TTs have always been the cheapest and best way to play as NMS; you sit out on promos when you don’t get cards for your tt which sucks sometimes (rams fan here with 0 breakout cards) but its also a benefit cause it keeps your costs down. Also lets you be strategic with spotlight tokens. I’ve gotten the best/ great cards for free, (Dickerson, glover, lake, puka) on a tt boosted theyre still great. I did my whole ranked run this season with only bnd cards as my starters for fun and went 32-1 on my way to top 100.

You are doing fine. Trying to win more games than you lose is the main goal. EA doesn’t really want people playing much better than .500… that way lower skilled players don’t feel defeated and quit. It’s why they use matchmaking and DDA to help even the playing field.

The fact peeps haven’t learned how to beat these cheese blitz’s or zones is crazy. Most of these top 100 players are frauds running the same few plays just need more play rec the game can only do so much once you figure out their 6 plays they run adjust and they can’t do anything after

when it comes to h2h ranked, I'm not concerned with my record. I am just concerned with making it to hero or champion. you start getting caught up in record, your frustration will take over.
