Seriously - can someone explain defense to me?

I just put together  a 50/50 49ers TT with 20 MF. +3 speed on my Niners; +5 speed on my Niners MF players. I would have thought that with these upgrades my defense would perform at least a little better.

Nope.

When I play man to man, multiple guys are running WIDE OPEN all over the field.

When I switch to zone, I see defenders just standing around doing nothing. Again, guys WIDE OPEN all over the field.

I can't even count the number of times my opponent has scored on just one play.

Does anyone have ANY tips on what to do? Anything?!  Plays that work better than others? Settings to consider? I'm willing to try anything, including taking the red pill if necessary. I'm at wit's end at this point.

Oh sorry - I forgot to mention.

When my guys actually do play D, it doesn't matter. TEs and WRs catch everything. And I mean everything.

Double teamed in the end zone on a 2 point conversion? Doesn't matter. Dude still makes the catch.

1 on 1 on any part of the field. Forget about it. No chance.

try putting OSA and IS on mcollum/davis.....put mcollum at sub lb 1 so he can always take the middle guy rb or slot with IS, davis with OSA anywhere....put your two safeties on double coverage vs 2 of hte other receiver options and put your user to double the last guy.  go with a 3 man pass rush and just press.  that's what i do.  i'm ok giving up a td, i just want to get one or two picks a game.

I just sit in cover 4 all game in different cover 2 or 3 shells, safetys set at 8 yards, flats set at 0, curls set at 10-15 and user the sub lb

Occasionally Ill throw in a blitz when i know they are looking for long developing routes on 3rd and long or something. Im sure better players on here could cook this type of defense all day long but it limits the big play td’s in my experience and with good clock management on offense it gets the job done in ranked and regular h2h

Defense is beyond broken but if I can give 1 tip, regardless of man, zone, down or distance, show blitz every single play…

Sounds like the dallas defense to me
