Run Stopper - DT

Is anyone using these cards?

I assume that they're useless against all these speedy QB's and I see people online passing 95% of the time.

I'm curious if anyone is using them regularly and having success.

The same goes for the Run Stopper - MLB; they can't cover or pass rush, so how are they performing on the field?

i mean jalen carter is a run stopper i think and he has 97 PMV. I just look at stats, not necessarily at the archtyype

Jalen Carter is a beast; I've been using T'Vondre Sweat for a while now and he's been solid.

I'd like to pair him up with Carter to see what havoc they can cause :)

Kirkland is a run stopper, he plays kickoff for me lol

Carter is just happy to be there and so is Madabeast

some of the cards are good and others are just horrible.

I was looking at the new Legends card for William Perry (96) LTD and it made me wonder if anyone got excited over the 73 SPD - It seems like a missed opportunity; if you can have a 95 SPD Perry at FB, then you can make him desirable by giving him 85 SPD for an LTD, at the least.

But who knows what anyone wants...

I always run 3 linemen. Dt has no insiders and both DE have no outsiders. They destroy anyone trying to run the ball

yeah exactly. even if he was 90 spd I wouldn't pick him up, his fmv is horrible

I use the Rip move -  I use the DE and get tons of sacks.

I started off using the swim but I fell in love with the Ripper :), so I focus strictly on PMV now.

But I could be wrong.

This is good advice, it never crossed my mind, but I did hear of a guy complaining about the DEs destroying him on a H2H game... Was that you?

I'm using Trey Hendrickson at DT with Unstoppable Unstoppable Force -- meaning, it never deactivates, throughout the entire game.  Then add TJ Watt (Dual Threat) as edge rusher, pair either DeMarcus Ware or George K. on the opposite end and voila.  Elite defense without breaking the bank.  It's stupid this glitchy ass shit remains in the game, but rather than patching it out, EA seems to have doubled-down on it, by dropping even more expensive "Unstoppable" type players.  I don't know that this really answers your question, but merely how i am approaching the game.

Linebackers fall into two distinct categories; pass rushers or pass coverage players.  Rarely do cards do both... although we're about to enter the final push towards the end-game, where anything i'm rambling about will surely become irrelevant.  Stats barely matter, abilities are everything, the usual qualifying statements apply here, as always.  You're absolutely correct, it's a passing league after all.  However, with all these X-factors that start ON, well... it's about to get interesting.  Freight Train might make the run game slightly more viable, although O-line play and blocking in general remains one of THE worst aspects in a ridiculously buggy ass inconsistent mess of a game.

i user my linebacker so when i pick up players i pay attention to their PMV, FMV, and traits. Nolan smith has 80 pmv and bull rush on yes but he is a monster.

You're 100%

I just picked up Nolan Smith and he's been one of the best pickups in a while.

I use Haley on the opposite side and it's been a race to the QB every play.
