Run and Shoot baby

I’m doing it. I’m getting bored, time to develop a scheme I never seen run. So I’m diving into the run and shoot. Wish me luck.

Anybody else running an off meta scheme?

Let us know how that works out...I've tried that playbook in the past with some success...but...I think it would take me a good amount of "practice" to get the feel for it...but...now I kinda one try it again.  Good luck with it and looking forward to hearing how it works out.

Running Commanders offense right now and having fun. Don’t know how meta that is but it’s a good playbook.

I run Chargers and want to run Jets but always lose and switch back to Chargers. I have played the run and shoot in past Madden’s but not this year

I’m already noticing that the real world option routes WRs would take vs each coverage and the madden option route logic are not the same. I have a streak converting to a dig against cover 3, when it should be a streak, and then a dig vs cover 2. So it’s kind of rewiring your brain to madden logic

BUT

Madden recognises ‘hidden’ coverages which as a player we may not.

I just do what the meta is, has worked for me for the past few years.

Bores me, I’d rather develop my own scheme, find it much more rewarding.

This is why I struggle with Madden option routes. They're absolutely horrid. This is an area where being instinctive about football hurts a user.

Yeah 100%. I may just develop a scheme based on coverage reads, and essentially setting the option route myself

I’m running Cardinals offense and love it. It’s got some of the meta stuff in it but also has a ton of really unique stuff as well.
