Pretty wild that the worst team in football came out smelling like roses today.
Raiders get 94 Sapp and Mack, plus a ton of cards with secondary chems at most of the other OVRs.
Eagles get a Saquon most of us can’t use, a 91 FS that is a +3 from his Team Builder, a punter when we just got a better one with all 32 team chems and the only secondary Eagles player is 84 OVR Gainwell.
Seems deliberate.

It just shouldn’t be easier to build a hybrid Raiders / Playoff TT out of the gate when they were so bad.

You do realize that they didn't make any designated Raiders right? Like just cause a player happens to have played for another team at one point doesn't mean they shouldn't make the card. lol

Yeah, i hate to defend EA but it's not really EAs fault that the driving philosophy of the Raiders for years has been "sign anyone with name recognition no matter if they are good or not" so they just happen to have had a TON of players play for them throughout the years.

They didn’t make Sapp the event card for Buccs TTs and they could have picked any other Charger other than Mack for the Champ.
Those were deliberate choices.
Promos and programs are designed well in advance, just FYI. And they also have to take into consideration future promos/programs that are already planned or in the works. The other thing that factors in is who they have the rights to use when it comes to retired players. While I understand it seems deliberate, it's really not. There is a lot that goes into player card planning, and it's not as simple as "the Raiders suck and deserve less cards than better teams".

I get it. I have also been playing MUT long enough to sense when they are trying to nudge TT shifts.
Raiders fell out of the meta during zero chill. This all seemed a little too convenient, notwithstanding everything you note being accurate.

Warren Sapp is a NFL legend, and a great player... why shouldn't he get a card? Khalil Mack is one of the best players on the CHARGERS which is who they made the card for, why shouldn't he get a card?

My only point is it doesn’t seem accidental that the Raiders got 9x playoff chems in the initial drop, including two Champ cards. I haven’t investigated, but I doubt the same is true for most other non playoff teams.
Of course Sapp and Mack deserve cards, but they also weren’t the only options.
I’m already seeing posts of “My New 50 Raiders / 20 Playoffs Theme Team”.

Let me clue you in on something: it is because more players happen to have played on the Raiders at some point. They can't just avoid making cards cause a dude happened to be on the Raiders at some point. Sapp and Mack make a lot of sense.

Only one of those is a non playoff team
I think you have to keep in mind most of these players are going to keep getting cards. Im sure Sapp and Mack are going to get 4 or 5 more cards especially if they fit the promo. For me personally, my sqaud didn't make the playoffs so i don't expect to love this playoff promo
