I got a makeright, did you all?

Did they change/correct the description, or actually fix the pack to make it 94+ ?? I think that's illegal, they could get in hot water (legally speaking) for posting incorrect odds and charging real money. Casinos and those type gambling situations have serious regulations surrounding them. That's why they're insisting that micro-transactions are just "fun little surprises" and definitely not trading cards with actual gambling attached.
But they know exactly what they are doing, getting tons of kids addicted. Gross.

I mean, we used to have things liek the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), i think the Department of Justice could bring legal action on behalf of consumers, but as we speak, the government is currently being gutted -- so not sure ANY enforcement agencies even exist these days. What a truly sad state of affairs.
Specifically, Section 5 of the FTC Act prohibits "Unfair or Deceptive Acts or Practices"
I am clearly not an attorney, nor am i qualified to provide any type of legal (or financial) advice, but that is my lay person's meager understanding of how the world should work... or did once upon a time. A couple years ago (~2023) they also were investigating these dark patterns, and it seems that EA has gone waaaay down the darkest rabbit hole of greed possible.
Although, i guess that (dark patterns) was more geared towards data collection. Perhaps not relevant here, but i still feel liek Section 5 might be.

The problem I've always seen with this (taking out the current political circus that is happening), who truly cares about video games enough to actually fight for unfair trade?!?! When I first got into MUT, I was shocked at how manipulatable the whole system was. EA could literally have different pack odds for each individual gamer with no oversight and no repercussions. Early on, I noticed I was getting WAY better pulls from packs on an account that had a substantially lesser team (can't say the term on here any longer).
With all that being said, there have been very little changes to the system since then. Honestly the only change i can think of is pack odds. On top of that, the only reason any change was implemented was due to Star Wars. The government actually stepped their toe into the water on this matter when EA hid all the characters behind pay walls. That's the only thing that brough some change. I don't expect anything monumental from government agencies in the future. The only way we can bring change is speaking with our wallets. This year was a start.
wow peatrick, you should be! i think you found your calling.
I wish someone would do something but....
I just ain't giving them any money going forward. don't care if madden 26 is amazing, i'm not doing it, and i told my son he's not either until he moves out one day.
It hurts to be ripped off and mistreated by someone you loved so much:) for me i think it would be easier to deal with if they had better customer service, but they've realized they can save money in that dept. and still make a killing. for every me that drops it, 30 more start up. It's a good video game, but i think it's the power of football.
I got a random 94+ yesterday. I'm assumng this is why. Glad i saw this post I couldn't figure out why. Lol
