Punting?

How often do you guys punt? Either per game or per # of games.

If you do punt, what's your criteria for punting?

I punt once every 3 or so games, and if I'm inside my 25 (and not losing by 2 or more scores)

i get punted on every play in house rules.

I try not to but if my op keeps spamming it I’ll do it once or twice

Not very often. Usually only inside on 30-40, with like 20 to go on 4th. It's funner to just throw one up if you ask me, that's the fun of madden

Regular MUT game, depends on field position and score/time remaining.

I like playing it as a Sim.

HR not at all. Garbage cheat, won’t bow down to that level. Hopefully Glitchers get Thanksgiving and then some off.

exactly. I agree fully, and I know i got a couple plays that can get me some yardage if necessary. But there's also a time to give it up.

You can look up your friends and the top 100 players 4th down punt % in regs leaderboard.

According to the stats in regs I punt 28% of the time on 4th down. Top 100 players in regs punt less than 5% of the time.

wow. man brought the numbers into the convo. I respect that.

if i'm confident in the play i have i will go for it but quite often past 4&10 i will punt, it also depends on how their offense is playing, if they are consistently turning the ball over i just want as much distance as possible to get my turnover. i sometimes punt from about halfway. on average i would say 1-2 times per game but sometimes i dont punt for many games in a row

I almost never punt. Right now I don’t really even have a punter. Still using the HH 83 Gonzalez as my kicker/punter. I’m better off sending verts and throwing a pick than trying to punt for 30 yds. Once I get a decent punter on the team I will punt when necessary.
