Pass Defense/Offense

So every once in a while I will play someone who’s throws I can’t defend. I will have a defender in the right place. It will be a route and throw I’ve seen a hundred times. I’ll go for the pick/swat and the defender just won’t react. Or they just straight run behind my defense. Even if I’m in Cover 3 Man shaded deep. It will be QB’s and WR’s I’ve played before so I know it’s not ratings/abilities.

Does anyone have any idea wtf is going on? How do I defend against it? And how do I do it on offense? Because I can’t complete a pass to save my life anymore.

FYI, I’m aware of route combos to beat coverages, adjusting to shading, etc. My problem is that I have to be a country mile away from any defender to not get the ball knocked out. And even when I get the separation, a defender will jump from the box and pick it off mid flight 20 yards from the play. And in the .05 percent of plays I complete a pass, I get hit sticked and drop the ball. Even with truzz.

I’m not complaining about the game being hard. Far from it. I love the competition. There is just something I’m missing and I want to put it together. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Never shade up causes DB to do a slow drop back upwards then out to their designed spot regularly. With that being said outside and under shade adjustments seem to work completely fine just i know overtop shaded won’t do jack diddly for you at all, with that being said it’s also been told to me that cover four zones and cover 2 zones drop set differently than match and cover 3 zones so I’ve opted recently to come out in a cover four look double Mable and either protect my inside third or outside third and control the middle haven’t put it into practice yet still learning the button placements to adjust faster during H2H or HR either way keep competing you know how EA and this game are some are just gimmies for others
