OT...How do other sports games market based team building compare with MUT

I cant stand Soccer, its way too slow, so would not get into Fifa ultimate team

But how are other games, like NHL, College Football, NBA2k, MLB The show

.

Do they have auction houses?  Can you build a good team through working the market, or do you need to spend money or get players through grinding gameplay modes

.

I heard NBA 2k didnt have an auction house in previous modes, but added one this year...not sure how it work

I would assume NHL and College Football are very similar to MUT, with auction house and player sets?

MLB the Show is the most user friendly sports game for free to play players. It is the most skill based and it is the least worth it to spend money in game. the only players that spend money are the content creators on day one. i havent enjoyed 2k since 2k21 and ended up quitting. the interface is very smooth for the show and the server will barely crash. i only experienced 3 crashes with over 400 hours of play time. it is a very balanced game and there are several modes that can appeal to all players. hope this helps

People can Hate on Madden, but as far as consistent multiple weekly drops on new content, nothing is even close to Madden.

MLB the Show is also really fun to do investments in. Their bi-weekly upgrade process makes this easy to do. I had way more stubs than I could ever spend with not much effort.

All the other AHs basically are similar to MUT and you understand them quickly. 2k….is a different beast where you get the players you get and not the players you actually want. You can’t get the players you want without weekly $1000 deposits.

i havent played NHL, FIFA, or MLB the Show (atleast not Diamond Dynasty) but i have played 2k MyTeam as basketball is my 2nd fav sport. its worse than madden in terms of a cash grab.

i hate the 2k AH, max buy now is 100k. any rare card is on a starting bid of 100k and usually gets to 3-10 mil by the end of the bid and MT (the 2k version of coins) is pretty hard to get

For 2k...are there very strict restrictions such as price ceilings/price floors on the auction house?

Can you snipe cards and build sets - similar to Madden?

i find sniping easier on 2k via what i said in my previously reply (just have it filtered to the rare cards but with a minimum buy now so only cards with a buy now pop up and js keep refreshing til the pop up) but there arent really sets. mostly just if u have all the cards in a series u can complete the set for some MT or get a card depending on what promo it is

Thanks, so based on sniping rare cards, you can build a pretty good team with NMS if you know how to time auctions

Are there promo chems/theme teams, any other boosts - or just based on players OVRs/ratings

yes. you would have to win some games first to build up a bit of currency but after yu get to a solid amount (10k-25k) you can start sniping and build your way up to 100k to then snipe the more expensive and rare cards. and atleast last year there were a TON of good budget players that ranged from 1k-50k

minimum is 4, 8, 12, or 24 hrs is how long they last for

only boosts are from your coach card, there are different rarities that include current coaches, former coaches, and even current NBA and WNBA players you can use, and shoe boosts. shoes can provide a stat boost as well as give players a takeover (basically an XF but easier to getr compared to madden. a few 3 pointers with a guy can get his sharpshooting takeover which makes him shoot better). 

there are also badges which are almost like abilties and have a tier system like abilties in CFB get but there is no limit to the amount you can have on your team. End game 2k is juist as crazy as end game madden. u have 7 footers running around everywhere that can do everything (shoot, finish at the rim, playmake, etc) with every badge in the game (there are 40 in this years current game)

their version of golden tickets are called GOAT cards, they have the best animations in the game (dribble moves, driblle styles, jump shot, etc) and eveyr badge maxed out). here is the first one of 2k26: https://2kdb.net/player/2661363

The price ceiling is 100k. But every “headliner” card will be well over that 100k mark. The best way for me to explain it, is if in Madden, 91’s and lower OVRs would be able to be bought immediately off the AH for under 100k, but every card that’s 92 and up you would have to BID on. Imagine essentially every card on AH 92 and up with no buyouts, only bids. So you have to be on the console right at the time that the bid of the card you want is ending. AND…..there’s probably no more than 5 up of any given player at a time. THEN YOU GET TO WAIT 30 MINS for the card you bought to go through their “escrow”. Also, certain players can be had through sets, but you can’t sell those players for coin and it’s only a handful of outdated ones now anyways. Players on the AH only come from packs. The lowest pack odds in gaming. So yes, while technically you can get the players you want, the time and money to get them isn’t EVEN CLOSE to worth the squeeze. Worst sport game in the industry. I hate that I love basketball.
