One thing that makes this game so unrealistic

The consumer who purchases madden and makes his team and looks forward to playing somebody with the team he made wants to play the game of football but not against boarder line cheaters ( in my opinion ) 

They  were hoping to match up make their team and play somebody the way football is intended to be played. In this sense, I don’t blame the player as much as I do the game designer’s for allowing this to be in the game every single year knowing that it exposes the game 
Maybe a fix could be something like after a certain amount of times the play is called You can no longer call the play again or something to that effect but to have somebody run the same defense over and over because it is exploiting the game to me just doesn’t seem right and shouldn’t have to play off-line if they want to play people online .

It’s a video game not real life, there is no right way to play😂. If you want realism go play the computer or find people who want to play how you do. Crying on a forum because people don’t play the game the way you want will get you nowhere. There is no defense that “exploits the game”, there are defenses you don’t know how to beat so instead of learning you cry and say it’s an exploit. You can name any defense in this game and there is a way to beat it. If you want to play the game of football go outside to a football field, instead of bitching about people in a video game not playing the “right way”.

I think you’re not acknowledging that the only way to prevent someone from calling the same defense every play is to beat their defense. if you’re not calling plays that beat their defense, why should they change?

 I think we’re at the point where we should  just agree to disagree. No need to go the route of name-calling and emoji dropping just because someone expects a football game  to be designed the way the sport is intended to be. Unfortunately that doesn’t happen in madden because  on how it’s played on one side of the sport    by allowing just one play to be called over and over because the offensive line is not  designed properly to block players in that specific formation for whatever reason to me and others is not football. And to say “than go outside “ because others want to exploit the game is not right as well. One more thing I’d like to point out before I go is 

it’s not “a video game “. It’s a digital game  it’s  2025

The irony of these comments, are that YOU are actually the ones who call the same mid blitz every single play. Midblitz doesn't work because you're a madden savant. EA knows midblitz is cheese, and they even stated as much in a cutscene in College Football. Midblitz works because the offense behaves as if they don't know how to play once the opponent calls midblitz.

Just like the PA cheese. It doesn't work because you're this great player and the defense needs to "adjust" or else "git good", it works because EA designed it so that the defense slows down allowing the QB to skate by, or runs past the QB completely. Running to the sideline and throwing a drag/curl doesn't take skill. 

If you want to talk football, let's talk about it. What's "stock coach suggestions" about a Nickel Cover 3 match? So you're saying that you deserve to score 40 points because your opponent called the standard defense for 99% of the actual NFL? Why would I need to "adjust" that defense? Please explain, I'd love to hear it.

I strongly disagree with your response. Here’s why , most people that sit in one  type of D  are using an exploit in the game, which is why they’re using that defense in the first place, so for the most part ,  it would be hard to try to find a defense in the short amount of time, these games are to beat it Also it is called “competitive”  I don’t see what’s competitive about doing something like that. 

Again it’s not realistic it never ever happens in any level of football let alone in the NFL and shouldn’t happen in the game.

Hey good day sir! Could you please tell me what defense they are running? I will tell you how to stop it and will 100% not be using it myself.

I’m convinced the bums on this game aren’t real people block an rb or te and mid blitz is dead😭. Just because you don’t know the counter for something doesn’t make it cheese. In 2k there is no counter for 7’4 builds in this game everything has a counter, you out yourself as ass the second you use the word cheese😂.

Henry won the last event running nickel wide and he wasn’t just sending a base blitz he was engaging with the center to create the illusion of an extra blitzer which you can take away by untargeting the user. If you play someone running stock mid blitz and can’t pick it up you’re just terrible bro no way around it😭. And to answer your question no I don’t think I deserve to score 40 points against cover 3 match every play I do because if someone stays in the same defense I just try to beat it instead of bitching on the internet. You need to adjust that defense because it is easily beatable if ran with no adjustments, nobody is saying you have to but don’t expect many stops playing like that. Once again the game isn’t real life some things that work irl will work in the game, and some won’t.

I will never defend this game it’s terrible😭. I don’t need to go to youtube for anything I win games fine on my own. I’m simply saying there are bigger things to complain about in this game than someone running the same defense. If football iq is running coach suggestions all game and throwing up aggs like the majority of people that cry about “cheese” then I guess I don’t have any😂. And that was the whole purpose of the conversation. Only bad players in my experience want the game to stay or be more arcade-y. Madden being more realistic wouldn't bother me because I can play. Realistic or the way it is now. 

From what I understand, the other guys gripe was about realism, which I have no problem with. Usually the people who respond like you are the ones who just want to midblitz every play and get emotional when people (rightfully) think it's corny. 

I've stated this before, competitive madden should have cooldowns. That would increase the skill gap and nerf the bad players who get by on one play they found on a viral social media clip.
