Once John stepped away

This game took a 180. Literally flipped the 4th down programming. Something he was hell bent adamant on. Immediately went from pure football to Pokemon. Or harry potter. Or whatever flying men with capes ass super power bs . I saw a thread asking about John's impression of this game. The answer -

He would be ashamed. He would not be able to recognize whatever this is ea violently and disgustingly birthed.

does anyone remember a video of when john madden sat with the developers and ask them about concepts and pretty much called bullshit on every one of their answers?

I remember from a few years back there's an article about Kyle Shanahan. He tried playing Madden with like his 10 year old son and the kid beat Kyle. Kyle goes on to say you can't do anything actual football in this game. One of the best coaches in sports let alone the game were discussing and he says this game is pure shit. Plenty of players former and current speak against this game. Once John stepped away man....

I'm genuinely curious as to what your biggest gripes are with the game? I play on old gen and other than the FG block glitch being left in the game I feel like the game plays pretty well. It's definitely not perfect. My biggest gripes are the running game can be overpowered,players falling forward often,ZCV can be soft at times and guys running right through the middle of your O-line and sacking the QB if you are in some formations like trips TE. The thing is all those things can be fixxed or almost fixxed with adjustments I suppose. Ive always been of the belief that my opponent can't do anything I can't do or I can't learn to do so its all about knowledge of the game i guess. I don't have a problem with abilities and x-factors cause without them the game would be boring and every card would be the same since everyone gets 99's everywhere. Another gripe I have is receivers dropping balls alot when they hit them in the hands which would send you to the bench IRL. I do think madden is closer to being a great game than a bad game though. I'm not that great at madden I'm probably above average but when I lose its because my opponent is usually just plain better or has a better understanding of the game and how it works and how to adjust or even exploit the game. Honestly I do wish EA would get some competition and finally do something about DC glitching cause every year it happens alot.
