I actually love the way old Gen plays, there are no completely insanely broken abilities(except pick artist) there aren't crazy jukes, and it's so fluent. Also I hate the uniform models of next Gen and how they run. The only thing I don't like is the kicking glitches and the fact that old Gen abilities like lurker don't get discounted. But overall I love old gen

I know what you mean. I prefer dial-up internet from the 90's vs the current ways we go online now. I missed how my AOL account greeted me with the friendly "you got mail" when I checked my email from my Nigerian friend who happened to be a Prince. I missed the schreecy sound my modem-phone made when I logged on the internet, it lets me know it is alive.  I hate that we are connected instantly these days, I need the minute to go pee before my internet adventures begin. I hate that  my mobile devices can also getsme into the interweb when I am outside my home, where did all the wires go? No skill gap in getting connected now.

Change is for the posers.

I play old gen on current as I upgraded mid year it is a great game still more fluid on the the current console. The KOs dont seem to be a OP as I hear they are. I just get FOMO for Lurk Artist, Colossus, Linchpin, Angry Runs, Deep Zone KO, and several more though.

I believe he was talking about the sarcasm your initial post was met with. Everybody has opinions, but not everyone is cordial to people who have something different to say.

Agreed. The  biggest issue in old gen is that the auction market is dead.

OP...

There is no doubt in my mind that the old gen version of the game (played on the current gen console) is vastly superior when it comes to gameplay IF you prefer a game where user skill on defense is actually important and rewarded.  I've made several attempts the past couple of years to convert over to the current gen version of the game and imo they have made it too noob friendly on offense.  It's just not enjoyable.

I realize everyone is entitled to their opinion.  But I've seen it with my own eyes.  I cannot get used to how sluggish they made the user.  I stopped playing M24 back in January because the game was stale for me.  The bugs... the kicking exploits... the slow menus (which were fixed but way too late)... the barren AH... the game is clearly dying (or dead) on old gen.

I hate to admit it but after a decade of playing this silly game as my one real hobby, I think I'm finally done with Madden.  I can't bring myself to play the new version of the game...  I barely log into these forums any more... and I haven't had a whiff of hankering to play.

The only thing that would bring me back for next year's game would be if they offered a "classic" mode with the old gen style of gameplay.
