Route tech literally only works vs man coverage and if you spamming it you should get beat. Set your zone drops and switch them up as you see what your opponent is doing, wait and see the formation they are in before picking your play so you can adjust to the looks they gave you.
You can get stops a lot of it is baiting them into throws and switch stick helps with that alot
