If anyone has tried repeating the 84/85 set, how much crystals did you pull, if any at all? i know the number is going to be very low (most likely 0-1), but im curious to see how much i even got to roll in order to even attempt to get one of these cards via set. I know it's not official odds.

convinced its 0, i pulled 10 in 1 day didnt get a crystal, ive since pulled another 10 no crystal.

I’ve probably rolled it 15-20 times and haven’t pulled any crystals. Doesn’t seem to be an effective method which is why the price is still high for Saquon.

10 is and extremely small sample size. There are way more than 10 total 84-85 cards out there.
Even if you don't get back a 84-85 card back for the set, let's say it's Saquon or bust (zero coins). If you hit in 1 out 10 tries the Market in Saquon will tank considerably.

I sorted through and bought 82s for 14.5k and below. I don’t have an exact number on how many times I did the set but after about 25 I pulled Parsons. Another 25-30 times and pulled Barkley which is the one I needed. Take the 84 cores and do the 86-87 set, promos id try and use in promo sets to not lose too much coin. Came out on top in the end, was a grind though.
There were something like 150 unique 84’s and 85’s a little less than a couple of weeks ago, when I made about 20 or 30 attempts and came up empty. I still came out ahead because I was pulling Team Builders and some strong 84 and 85 Cores. So many of the 84’s and 85’s that had been valuable are now worth far less than the individual value of each component 82 OVR item. Stay away from these sets. They can lose you a lot of money quickly on balance.

Valid point with standard odds. All else being equal, that works. But I firmly believe that EA places different weights on different cards. In this example, I do not believe that the 85 Crystals have the same weight as normal 85s.

yeah i know, but i think they lowered the odds on the crystals after seasons 1, theres ton of video evidence of people pulling them in season one out of those packs, in season 2 ive yet to see anyone pull it out the pack. i personally havent even tho i rip in batches of 10

Certainly possible that they adjusted them since S1. But will still lean toward them having a lower pull rate than other cheaper 85s. Barkley being over 1.8m (been going up slightly as Redux Surtain continues to decline) is a pretty good indicator that he isn't on the same pull rate as any other 85. Even though there are a lot of 84/85s in the population pool, if the Crystals were equal, I believe the community would have pulled enough sets to bring his price down a decent bit if he was equal to other 85s.

yeah thats what im saying, i think they did something to the pull rates on them, its wild how ive seen people in my discord open 50 of those packs in 1 opening with not 1 pull

I pulled crystal Micah with a pretty low number of 84/85 sets done, maybe 10 or so. If you can get the 82s around 10-12k each, you'll breakeven/small profit most 85s and lose a little less than half on 84s. It's just so tedious I can't bring myself to do it alot.
