I agree.. I’ve been part of MUT communities since MUT10.. I don’t ever remember it being such a big talking point. It really doesn’t matter.

I should’ve stated that I’m a newer player. I haven’t spent any money. I was wondering the vantages of spending versus not spending. I just want to know why people are spending?

For coin? The card? Are they pros? I understand the topic is stale but as a newer player I want to understand both sides of the fence.

Agreed. The only one's keeping the subject relevant are the NMS crowd.

There aren’t sides—just a tiny, loud group of people who think they’re heroes for refusing to spend money on a game they somehow find endless time to whine about.

If you bought the game, you spent money. If we are talking about spending after that. I've done both ways.  M19 and M26 NMS. I enjoy the game way more not spending!!  I had a way better team early when I spent.  But...  my team always ended up the same way. And I also agree with dapapi

fine, I will bite

I spend money because

I am 38 married with 2 kids 

my son plays with me

still considerably less than what I spend on golf/fan duel etc

I have disposable income

I dont have time nor want to grind for cards

I personally have done both over the years but found the less I spent, the less stressful the game was. I also spent more time working on scheme which made me a better player.

As the years have gone on I’ve seen EA become more and more money hungry which has put me off spending even more.

Lastly, it feels like far more of an achievement for me to grind my way to a team, not take short cuts and spend.

What gets me are the so call nms players that brag about there coin count while making sure to point out they are nms.

I spend because I compete and make content.  I also just enjoy the game and don’t mind putting some koney into my hobby. Madden is the only game I play pretty much, so I guess spending money on it doesn’t bother me because everything I but gets a lot of use and enjoyment. I would much rather spend my time actually playing the game, or working on content than grinding solos and trying to build a team. Everybody spends on this game anyway, some people just spend theor tome instead of money and that’s cool too.

If you have money to burn, you spend money to have players that outrun your opponents' players. Period. That's why this game is notoriously Pay-to-Play. Anyone who argues that you can compete "fairly" on NMS is using exploits, whether they consider them exploits or not.

I get tired of nms people calling me trash and I spent money and I play terrible. I'm not the best player. I win some and I lose some. This year I think besides my pre order coins. I have spent about 80 . I'm probably going to spend minimal this year because yea im still working 55 hours a week. But unfortunately my kids mom snd I just separated. So this year I'm going to focus on skill and trying to be better.

Phatal you are 100. Percent correct. The nms ppl play the same for the most part. Yes there are some nms ppl that just play to have fun not to win and I commend them
