Pay to win has absolutely zero business being part of ANY online, H2H, competitive games.  Sell us uniform packs, cosmetic items, whatever -- keep it more similar to Fortnite.  You can buy tons of stuff, but nothing that gives any type of competitive advantage.  I thought i was signing up for actual simulation fatball, which i had hoped would be fun, fair, balanced and competitive.  Sadly, this bad game has been none of those things.  People get to #1 on Leaderboards, not through any amount of skill or knowledge of the great game of football (or even Madden knowledge, as these are clearly not the same things), but by simply playing the most games in a given cycle.  Check out the Leaderboards, to make a run for the Top 100, guys are often playing 300-400+ Ranked games in a single cycle.  These are not the best and brightest players in the world.  I simply cannot compete with unemployment.

Playing 400+ games in a 30 day cycle in rank is insane that’s 12-15 games a day. Easy 5+ hours a day of gaming  for 30 days straight wow 😮 these guy are either rich or on welfare to be able to game like this.

The people that spend thousands of dollars on this game every year are not only idiots, but they are the reason this game gets worse every year with respect to micro/macro transactions. The insane amount of greed from EA is the result of the people with no financial sense continually lighting their money on fire for EA. And yes, that affects the experience for the rest of us.

The funny thing is the NMS people waste hours upon hours to earn ”free” cards. You could just work for a few hours and have better players. I don’t really agree with that side of it. People are still donating their time to EA, which is arguably worse.

Is it work or is it fun? Good or bad? Right or wrong? The chicken or the egg? Does it matter if you are in the black?

Placing bets against People and their Peculiar will or a very Particular Philanthropist? Pick your Poison because it’s only Partially Palatable. Perception is Profit and that is the only Prerequisite. Ohhh contrarian…

I feel this behavior isn’t even normal for EA. They seem to be flailing to tread water. Both financially and practically. The more I look at it the more concerned I become.

-I have gone to not spending on live services because of their poor choices but I don’t know about adopting a moniker.  

-I have not played since i synced my binder on the 2nd or 3rd of this month. Don’t intend to until at least March 1st.

-The final thing I’m still only considering is stopping my support of content and creators that spend money in the game. About $30 a month. This is tough because I enjoy them and bear them no ill will. Everybody counts and as an individual I can do little else.

I only share this because I’m trying to encourage others to consider similar steps. Not to cause harm or hinder anyone in anyway.

what do you spend your coins on and where did they come from, like do they all go into packs or into LTDs that you think will grow? I need to make some coins

I used the volatility of high end cards to make a lot of coins this year and it is strategy that is still going strong. In EAs fevered race to save their franchise, line their pockets and maybe even save their company? Or At least rely more heavily on live services from CUT and MUT going forward. They left some pretty gaping holes. All you need is the capital and enough people to buy your product or more accurately your service because it’s someone else’s product.

I said the first part in a stream I was watching last night. Just need to add the 2nd part because the player base definitely isn’t what it was when this strategy became highly lucrative this year with the release of zero chill, discounted abilities and a larger LTD market. Eating like this, as people put it, will become more difficult the fewer consumers available. On the flip side the bigger you go the smaller the margin you can work with.

The bubble they have created around high end cards, LTD cards, discounted/free abilities and always on/more easily or frequently activatable xfactors (not a word but I’m making it one today) has had unintended consequences for EA. This methods effectiveness and returns have exponentially increased as a result of it.

As far as spending them I haven’t gotten that far but I think I’m done working the AH in any large capacity this year.
