How are these players selected?
I just now tried to remember Bo Nix at the combine then realized he did not participate in the 2024 Combine.

Could have given that card to a player that participated.
People have been waiting for Cam or Richardson, instead, we get a non-combine player for the Combine Event.
They could have done a Kordell Stewart; Bo Nix could have gone to Roster Revolution.

it's the handicapped dudes who somehow remain employed at EA, basically just gifting their favorite players/teams with the cards and content that fits their vision -- i'd be glad to know that ANYONE at EA actually played their own damn game, most of the time i can never quite be sure... but it seems liek they're often clueless, or perhaps that's just the people in positions of power, making actual decisions.
Wish they'd hire Jon Beast or the various Comp players active in the scene who are incredibly knowledgeable to help them figure out how to build cards. I get that some teams have been around significantly longer than others, hence they'll have a longer history to pull from, but i feel bad for many of the smaller or mid-market teams that are devoid of content throughout the bulk of the season, but especially come playoff time. Egad.
At least we didn't get stuck with ten versions of Bo Jackson this year. I think this content is somehow even more juiced than the Zero Chill AND Superbowl combined, my goodness. Spent the majority of yesterday (Saturday) mr0ning rebuilding my entire squad. Theme teams barely matter anymore, but i'm still married to my 40/40 Niners, old habits die hard.

I agree 100%
Just imagine how incompetent your coworkers would have to be to miss something like this; I'm not sure if anyone else noticed this, or if it's only on the PC version, but have you seen the image they used for Matt Leinart?
I'll never understand how you can create a J. Dobbs card that is better than a Steve Young card, but I refuse to listen to that argument, so I guess I'll never know. "I" don't happen to think that fixing a lot of these issues is that complicated; I work in Quality Control, so I somehow understand the process that goes into, or should go into, creating a good product.
EA should have a guy who battling for a top 100 spot at all times, maybe even a few guys, and they should be getting a detailed report of all the issues they encounter every single day they play online.
They should have NMS guys arguing with MS guys; and maybe even separate them into two different H2H modes; once you pay for packs, you can't access the NMS servers.
I can't play without my 49ers All-Time squad, I'm still waiting for Patrick Willis, Bryant Young, William Floyd, Roger Craig, Jerry Rice, Brent Jones, Jesse Sapolu, Kevin Greene, Kevin Gogan, Anquan Boldin, Merton Hanks, Tim McDonald, Justin Smith, Aldon Smith, the list goes on and on. I would love a Garrison Hearst card, but I'll probably have to make one on franchise mode.
But yeah, EA needs to double-check their stuff before they release it.
And is it too much to ask to have a H2H mode without Abilities and X-Factors? It's supposed to be a "Simulation" game after all.
