Hi there and welcome! Both to Madden and the great game of football. Unfortunately, no -- the Head to Head modes are very unforgiving. Thankfully, there's a ton of offline, CPU modes this year, to keep us entertained. Unfortunately, the Lineups section isn't quite ready (for M26) just yet, or i'd suggest you build out a roster and ask for suggestions to get the discussion rolling. I'd be more than happy to share how i'm approaching the game, or try to discuss any specific aspects of the game that might be giving you issues.
Where are you struggling most? Offense, defense, or just broadly with H2H?? My advice for Day 1 teams is to simply get as much speed on the field as possible. Receivers should be 84-85+ SPD. Obviously that 87 SPD James Worthy is absolutely elite for this early in the year. Don't stress too terribly much about stats (especially right now, but for the majority of the year) -- the game is entirely based off of abilities. They dominate and outweight literally every other aspect of the game, assuming M26 is roughly the same as M25.
Here's a popular example of a low OVR (Gold) player card that is absolutely elite, potentially top 5 receiver in the entire game, despite being just 72 OVR: https://www.mut.gg/players/15065-donte-thornton-jr/26-10715065/
If you need any particular position group, hop into this great site, select that position and simply sort by speed. Then go hunting for your budget beasts. And you can DEF play guys out of position. Safeties at Corner are fine, OL are mostly interchangeable, you can have Tackles at Guard, or vice versa.

EA did say that they made abilities not work every play (similar to how CFB has it) and reworked a ton of them too. Looks like they are trying to make the game not so ability dominated

I'm not sure that is what the community has been asking for -- even MORE inconsistency? Making games decided by a random number generator (the potential coin flip which ultimately determines on which snaps our players decide to utilize the abilities that we've applied) is hardly the solution. People are begging for physics-based gameplay, not a series of predetermined animations that play out in sequence, often determined before the ball is even snapped. Oof.
I only have liek ~100 Training, i sure as hell haven't been applying abilities this early in the game cycle. Will be looking forward to trying that stuff out, if i ever get there.

I'm quite pleased with the launch. Was hoping they'd conveniently forget to remove the Pre-game access +1 SPD boost, oh well. Messed up not selling my team. 😱
Hit practice mode and nail down a few plays that you can execute in your sleep against different coverages. Match making is supposed to be in division but it’s not.
The only casual players in H2H are in the lower tiers. Just keep losing and you'll be with them. Right now it's the wild wild west, but as the season goes on everyone will seporate a bit.
Hey guys, thank you for all your advices and answers :)
For my lineup, this is my actual Team right now.
https://www.mut.gg/26/lineup-builder/f39ec9cd-de8b-4dcc-a778-0c488b88e5d4/
I know for certain Positions that speed is everything like at CB, WR, Safety etc, but what about O & D Line? What do i need to look there for? Strength?
Im a Bills Fan, thats why im trying to build a little theme Team around them, but i dont fully understand why for example Hairston doesnt gets Boosted 😅
Im currently holding 1.700.00 coins, Upgrades shouldnt be a problem, but like we say in germany im "geizig" which translates to stingy 😅
For clarification im NMS, just grinded the Event from last week a lot and got lucky with some pulls.
My problems in Gameplay are mostly that im getting beaten with corner routes and Outside runs.
Im using the Bills offensive and Defensive Playbooks and on defense im using Nickel and dime formations mostly.
Thank you for your help in advance :)
Really would appreciate some tips for playbooks or players

Start with your scheme cos the attributes for the players will depend on how you want to play, so for example if you run a lot of power and pulling run plays that need your guards to pull you want agility, speed, strength, power blocking and impact block. Zonal you want strength, weight and zone run blocking etc etc.
If you run a lot of short passing routes then SRR and speed on your WR and SAC and THP on your QB
Same for D line and all positions.
In terms of playbook the question is how do you want to play.
I think i like to take risks when passing and would like to get a good base with runs.
Right now im still finding my scheme i think 😅

Run n gun might be a good book for you, lots of shotgun formations and some good run plays
Are those "non Team" Playbooks are any good?
Was thinking about Atlanta

same, game doesn't feel super buggy like it usually does. I didn't build one, I just have 30 Ravens right now.
