Since this Crystal Boost is +1 ACC only as the main feature, don't expect these to go for the same prices the original Crystals started for. I'd expect Gibbs will start around 2M and the others will go for 750k-1M. DO NOT DUMP YOUR OLD CRYSTALS THOSE BOOSTS WILL REMAIN! I'd suggest you start selling fodder NOW though because you're going to see a large wave of sales when these drop and likely even Monday the day before once they are officially announced.

If Nico gets at least 88 speed I'm in for him.  Gonna take Ted next week to be my LB so don't need Warner and not gonna park a 2nd RB on the squad for the year with Gibbs.

Nico won't get 88 speed at 88 OVR. He's going to be basically Tee Higgins +1 on every receiving stat, bet anything. As for the others, you should be able to drop Marshawn Lynch in exchange for Jahmyr, as he has all team chems like all crystals. Fred Warner may be better than your Ted Hendricks, depending  on what tier you're getting. Ted at Top 100 and Champ will definitely become the new user beast, but Fred Warner is going to likely be better than the other versions in coverage, speed, and mobility. Like  I said, these crystals will not get the price or attention of the last group as it's +1 ACC and no +1 SPD. It's a nice boost, but it's nowhere near the 4-5 M price people were paying for the OG crystal set. I'm also thinking they are going to roll these crystals into a larger set at some point that allows you to upgrade your players and still get the boosts, so that they aren't completley unusable later in the season (I'm sure EA will drop some new crystals you'll have to acquire to get the set).

Yea, these will be far more affordable, and I'm sure will drop even more in price as time goes on. People are going to see these boosts aren't going to do for your team what the OG's did. The OG Crystals not only gave you the ability to get +1 SPD, but the other stat boosts they gave we're huge for all your DBs and LBs and push them into 90s tier, where as these are just good to boost your WRs, TEs, HBs and will likely not boost them into 90s tiers.

Appreciate the thoughtfully reply.  Don't agree with Gibbs.  He's not worth +1 accel for taking up a prime spot at HB (again, in addition to Saquan).

Champ Ted is likely better than Warner, even if Warner beats him by 1 speed which at an 88 is all it would be over 89 Ted.  Ted also gets LA.  EA has been pretty bad lately with Roquan and Termaine Edmunds recently released w/o LA, so that's a big factor.  And we haven't even mentioned that, yeah, Ted is 6'7"  Those seams are on shut down!

Wait, so I have to get the old crystals to get +1 speed? 

I thought you could set their chemistry to whatever you wanted of the choices available.

If I have Saquon and Surtain but not Micah, will having one these guys get me the speed boost?

yeah the old ones have coverage, rush defence and hybrid options. but all 3 at max chem offer +1 speed along side their hybrid, coverage or rush def stats. 

these new ones are the same with passing, rushing and hybrid but the max chem on each awards +1 acc rather than spd

Thank you for the clarification, would you advise buying the old ones now, or waiting to see if Price is dropped when the new ones come out?

no you need all 3 of each release to get their respective boosts. 

i.e. if you want +1 spd you need micah, barkley and surtain 

if you want +1 acc you need warner, collins and gibbs

if you want +1 spd and + 1 acc you need all 6. you cannot mix and match warner R2 with barkley and micah R1

The LTD card also gives x3 req to get from x2 with champ cards combined to get to the full x5 chem. hope this helps

it’s tough, i bought surtain at 1.6 regrettably so not worth me dumping now, there’s a chance they include the R1 champs in the step offers to lower their price, but this is a guess at best. 

if you want to do it 100% get surtain now while he’s cheap, micah too as he’s pretty much plateaued in price at 450k, if there’s one to wait on it’d be barkley

I picked up Barkley today for 1.6 (not too happy about that) but I will have the +1 spd for this weekend and then sell him off Sunday. Barkley and Micah have been nice

I like the gamble of waiting to see if they offer the R1 in step up. EA knows they need to make that 💸 and this would be a way people would commit to chasing packs if it meant better coin rewards. 

I got lucky yesterday on the step ups and pulled Caleb, sold him when he was at 3.8 mil. I played with him for a few games and for me Fields was just as good. I can wait for redux for him to be my QB1.
