Regardless of if Mason Rudolph did or didn't say anything, he still retaliated for Rudolph using his constitutionally protected freedom of speech. Garrett could have seriously injured him, people don't realize how deadly a sharp blow to the head can be. Sorry, I'm late. Freedom of speech doesn't cover saying fire in a non burning building. Somethings you say or do have consequences and he got his. What about Richard Incognito? He bullied and used the same word, he also ran when other players came for that smoke. When it comes to the hit on the head by a helmet, I agree that it is very dangerous but that in football more than you know. Most of the time it takes place in pratice.
