My Thoughts On TOTY
This is stupid. Just stupid. EA makes the excuse of delaying TOTY until March to avoid duplicates, and then allows voters to have these options of all these guys to vote for players with 96+ OVR cards?
IMO, the following players should not be options:
Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, Tyreek Hill, A.J. Brown, Justin Jefferson, George Kittle, Travis Kelce, Jason Kelce, Andrew Thomas, Sauce Gardner, Stephon Gilmore, Charvarius Ward, Tyrann Mathieu, Alex Highsmith, Haason Reddick, Fred Warner, Chris Jones, Maxx Crosby, Nick Bosa, Austin Ekeler, Christian Wilkins, Javon Hargrave
These guys already have high OVR cards (96+) or are only a bit high on the OVR scale (<96 but >93) of things but are a part of the already OP Chiefs or Eagles Theme Teams.
It's incredible that EA has yet to find a way to not allow people to use bots to vote. It's sad that these selfish people make these bots in the first place. It's so bad that there's a guy on MutHead who openly admitted to being in the process of making a bot to vote for TOTY (one of the players he is voting for is Justin Jefferson). Like I said, all of this is stupid.
What I Hope EA Does About This
I know this is very unlikely, but I really hope that EA stops the voting, removes all of the players that don't need upgrades, and restarts the voting. Even if there are still bots (which I hope EA counters next year), at least players that have lower OVR cards and deserve upgrades get them.
