This card shot Dickerson's mut stock way up. Clearly was the best NFL 100 promo card, and many people used him. They did fix his X factor but not until I found a new love for Mut online H2H using him after being a mostly solo player for years.
Mut 17 Mike Vick Career Tribute Limited Time 97OVR: This was the first really expensive card me and my buddy bought during our first mut. We pooled our coins back when you could kinda do that and switched off H2H using Vick. It was so fun capturing tons of sick clips of Vick throwing rockets on the run or evading the whole defense for a rushing td. This was my first mut Vick experience and man was it memorable. If you missed this card you missed out bad.
Mut 18 Earl Campbell Boss Battles Boss 99OVR: This was a cool promo for endgame players. It was not easy and took a lot of grinding to choose between 99 rated Dwight Clark, Earl Campbell, Ed Too Tall, and Rickey Jackson. Once you finally got your Boss you were pumped. Most preferred the defense Bosses but I had so much fun running Earl for the end half of mut 18. I haven't played with another running back OP like him except Dickerson mut 20. Just an absurdly fun card and thats what muts about.
Multiple Muts Tom Brady Super Bowl MVP 99OVR: How could you not include the GOAT? He's been the 99 overall SB MVP in a few years of mut but I did the MVP set in advance of SB 51 knowing my Patriots were probably going to be in it, and after going to and seeing the Pats win the AFC Championship against the Steelers. We all know how SB 51 went down, but needless to say that 99 OVR Tom SB 51 MVP was god tier. Just having him on your team was enough to feel like you could win every game in any scenario. His stats were absurd for throwing accuracy, his speed sucked but using Tom is always fun in Mut. I still think that this was Tom's best mut card of all time, mostly because of his performance in SB 51 and how that translated into the card's stats was just so boss as a Pats fan. This card was cooler and better than his GOAT edition, fake retirement tributes, and the campaign Tom in like 17 or 18? Best card art also on a Tom card. Change my mind.
Nice write up, that took some time to write and those are great reasons.
