The mid blitz should be a non-issue. First of all you should make sure you beef up the middle of your O-line which will help you with those inside zone run or any other rushes up the middle. Make sure you set up your audibles so that you have something ready for you to get the ball out quick if they do plan on running mid blitz. I know there are a lot players in this game that love those long developing 40, 50, 60+ yard bombs downfield; but, you also have to realize that those the players aren't gonna be available all the time. Screen passes to your running back can do major damage to the defenses that love running mid blitz. Deep crosses over the middle can destroy mid blitz. Mesh can kill mid blitz as well because everyone is in press man most of the time when running mid blitz. You can run up the gut against double mug mid blitz if you have a stout O-line up the middle because you have undersized linebackers(230lbs) in the center of that defense vs the normal 300lbs D-linemen that normally would be there. The list goes on.
