That's the only difference here, i'm NOT blaming the user-base for a problem that EA and the majority of these AAA video game companies have created.

I was merely pushing back on the fact that you are clearly blaming a certain sect of users, while absolving yourself of any personal responsibility.  Time is money, every single minute you interact with the game, you're part of the problem, helping to juice EA's engagement numbers.  Can't have it both ways.  Please stop projecting your bullshit onto the rest of us.  And i'll try to do the same.

I fully understand that i'm part of the problem.  However, i'm also capable of admitting that i'm powerless to simply turn this objectively not good game OFF.

Sure, anyone who supports the game is a problem… but people who spend $60 a year and people who spend a lot higher than that. Especially people who buy bundles in May for a 30% or less shot at a golden ticket, much bigger part of the problem. Spending time leaves me feeling much less guilty than spending money

If there was another football game worthwhile, I’d try it out. This is why monopolies are bad.

I definitely acknowledge i'm a large part of the problem, in the sense that i spend money and time on this bad, buggy ass, inconsistent mess of a game.

It's wild to think i managed to go my ENTIRE life without ever engaging with any type of pay to win game mechanics.  The first $25 on a 49ers Theme Team pack, back in January 2023 felt liek decent value, at the time... but it's been all downhill since.

I don't know what the answer is, but i doubt we could even get the userbase to rally around a specific hashtag or something, let alone any type of coordinated pack strike.  Sucks.  A lot.  User choice would be nice, NFL really needs to open up their exclusive licensing agreement, although i doubt Take Two Interactive (2K games?) would be any better.  Not based on what little i know from NBA2K25.

I do remember a past madden where you were on my side of this argument. Honestly, all I can hope for is that if people are going to support EA by buying Madden that they choose to find alternative ways to get coins to buy cards as opposed to opening packs.

If you’re gonna spend money spend it on an ebook or coaching to get better at the game, or ijoebruins coin bible to learn how to work the market.

Just don’t open anymore packs with money. If you gotta scratch that itch use coins.
