Looking for a qb upgrade.

Right now I am using J.Fields free agent card on my Lion's theme team so he's a 98 overall.  Any suggestions on a qb that won't cost an arm and a leg? I could get the new Lamar 99 aka icon but I have been reading bad things on it. Thanks in advance

All of the TT Surge QB'a are super legit & fun except Mahomes and they can upgrade to 99 ovr and have awesome stacks.It's only about 13k surge to max them out so try them.

Stafford will DEF fit your Lions theme team and has an elite release, however, if you haven't used one of his cards yet this year, he unfortunately suffers from extremely long delays when trying to call any audibles, or make pre-snap adjustments.  That alone ends up being a deal-breaker for me.  Perhaps test out his 85 OVR or one of the earlier cards before you pay for the TT Surge upgrades to max 99.  If you find it tolerable, then that's your guy.

Everyone in the Comp community LOVES that Trevor Lawrence.  Joe Milton is also fairly cheap and is quite good, especially if you are into scrambling or the roll-out game, he's got Run N Gun.  OR if you can wait, there will be the free Tim Tebow (righty) at the end of TT Surge promo, should be able to unlock him later this week (Thursday) once TT Surge Part 3 drops.  And he's free, with all 32 team chems, but he's got objectively the worst QB Release style in the entire game.  Over the Top 1 is typically what the OOP linemen and such would receive.  It's not great, but usable.  Hard to say if it's better than suffering through Stafford's slow adjustments, that gets painful pretty quick, IMO.

Jared Goff has that 98 OVR Roster Revolution, but not sure how end-game his ability stack is/was.

There's the new Lamar (non-LTD version) that gives you everything you need for 6AP (no Truzz however). Haven't used him but people say his hot routes are atrocious. 

Trevor Lawrence has been awesome for me.

Drake Maye is the best QB in the game right now and we will probably see a price drop in him tomorrow.
