lol just played my first ranked game of the year

faced a guy in champion 3 and won 21-20...i'll take it.  why would they put me against champ 3 for first game?

Dumb question... I been playing ranked all year. How do you know what rank the other person was? Im genuinely curious because Ive always wondered.

I would like to know that as well.

Since you get way more points ofr a win than a loss ranks don't really matter.

If they’re showing their badge or whatever on their “player card”, it’ll show up during the top 3 animation at the start of the game and in between quarters for a second.

Rank doesn't matter since there's no real match making.   You're also starting later in the season so it makes sense you'll play people farther along.   Not many just starting ranked right now to where you'll see a lot of lower ranked players.

I asked him and friended him after.  Was a cool dude.  I got lucky.  He didn't have little and he had a 45yd kick to win it in regulation and got iced and missed.  In it we both got touchdowns but he went to 2 and I got the stop

There are no tiers in ranked head to head

I didn't realized they didn't try to pair you with your equivalent.  Figured it to be much like H2H Seasons in that sense.  Where did you hear of this?

Even seasons there is no real match making.   Tiers don't matter, being in legend doesn't mean you're playing only people in legend...
