Yeah I was thinking of switching up my team soon and selling players but after that I see no more excitement

I won a super bowl yesterday day, so I'm hype RN. But, yes the game is getting very boring. It feels like I play the same guy every game. Everyone just runs all the youtube nonsense. And the rewards suck big time.

The rewards are horrible for what you have to grind.  The Season Pass rewards have gotten worse and worse - all they give are basically tickets, that give you an 88 from the boom or bust pack every time.

I have to disagree with this take. The player rewards are outstanding. I rocked the free Maye card and never bought another quarterback until MVP Stafford came out and I got him for the theme team. Both of my ends are season pass rewards players (Kearse and Smith). My DT was free Ngata from winning some computer games I was capable of winning - but which took some time. My RB 2 is Etienne - free CPU player. Still rocking LT Mailata; RG Edwards; CB Woodson; WR Smith; C Frazier; Kittle RT - I could go on and on, not to mention the weekly tokens that gave me every player from my TT (except the LTD's) almost my entire starting team are free BND cards that I received from completing challenges and I have a 97 team, which is competitive - the reason I lose is certainly not my team.

This and what @swatthatdot mentioned about defenses.... they seem nerfed since the last update. didn't play much this weekend even with the wife outta town. its funny you mention facing the same guy every game. it seems like all these kids are watching the same youtube and i'm too damn old nor care enough to know about. gotten to the point where it's incredibly easy to know the play since they all run the same 4 on offense lol. i am curious where this single source of truth lies if the overwhelming majority are running it.... i guess thats why they call it "the meta."

I get what you are saying but I think the other guy is saying that not the player rewards it’s more of the packs and the boom or bust that have been lack luster this year the season players serve their purpose on my team and when it’s time to update I update

Yeah I do see some of the same players when I play quite often it got so bad one time my opponent said on the mic why I always gotta play you I hate playing you (cause he always lost)🤣🤣🤣🤣 and then preceded to Harass me after the game until I blocked him on psn.

lol.... nah in my case its more metaphorically in that they all run the same set of plays. that said, i do run into some of the same dudes here and there but i think its mostly based on my connection/region. being in Texas, I've had the pleasure of getting my ass handed to me by Dottimus several times lol and miraculously squaked one out against Drini last season... I think hes a Texas kid too. i joke with my wife i'm probably playing the neighbors kids.

Play either bunch x nasty or HB direct with mid blitz or hover over DT every game

Oh, I get you. I agree with that - I just never use my tickets for those packs because the player upgrades have been so good and because the tickets carry over to the next season which has been great. Packs definitely suck. Years past you could get an LTD out of packs - especially if you did all 20 of them from a particular release - or at least break even on building sets or selling back the cards you did get - not this year. I remember rolling the TVP packs and if you were willing to roll a million you would hit every once in awhile making it worth it. Packs definitely suck this year!

Used to you could really grind challenges and games and get all sorts of cool things. Now rewards don’t carry the same weight for the most part. Also EA keeps going more and more into OOP which I think generally just sucks. Also all cards used to have their own strengths but now they make it to where one card gets a certain ability and thats now all you can use where as you used to have such diverse teams. There are cards out there that have 30-40% usage rates and I personally think that’s terrible.  Makes it bland.

Used to be an almost year round game for me, but Mut has been steadily declining over the past 5 years and I find myself quitting earlier each year.  Plus, despite it's own challenges MLB the Show is a far superior product so when that drops I'm basically out.

EA has got to figure out a way to discourage the copycat, youtube, play spamming aspect as it's ruining the gameplay experience.  Oh, and the immense corporate GREED and micro transaction monetization doesn't help either.
