Subject: Request for Specific Evidence of Account Ban (MUT 26 Auction House)
Dear EA Support,I am writing regarding my EA account [ACCOUNT EMAIL/ID], which received an Auction House restriction/ban in Madden NFL 26 Ultimate Team on [DATE]. I have carefully reviewed the EA User Agreement and Madden NFL 26 rules and am not aware of any conduct on my part that violates these terms.
Under general consumer‑protection and fair‑treatment principles, I respectfully request a clear, specific explanation of:
1. The exact rule(s) or policy provision(s) EA alleges I violated.
2. The approximate dates, times, and nature of the in‑game actions or transactions that EA claims constitute this violation (for example, specific Auction House listings, trades, or coin transfers).
Without this information, I have no meaningful way to understand or correct any alleged issue, which is inconsistent with fair and transparent enforcement of your rules. Please provide this explanation and the core evidence or data you relied on to impose the ban, or confirm in writing if no such evidence can be identified.
If this action was taken in error, I request that my Auction House access be fully restored and any related flags on my account be removed.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.Sincerely,

Thanks, I just reappealed using this wording
Had to cut down a few words, as EA only allows 1000 characters
If my appeal is denied again, i will follow up with a certified letter, but now im Motivated to get this overturned
.
I also feel bad for anyone else who got coin wiped...its corrupt how the allow steamers to promote coin sellers, yet ban the innocent for making smart market transactions
peatrick said:It was a poor attempt at some tongue in cheek humor, kinda liek "I've got a bridge to sell ya." I assume the greed is about to get cranked up to eleven. 😭
Probably not a poor attempt but my fault for lack of knowledge on the topic. Anyways thank you for the explanation
jimshredder said:The appeal unfortunatley will get denined
I doubt they even read it
I sent my appeal and asked for proof of what transaction triggered the ban
They sent some bot response somethign like this "after careful review, we decided we made the right decision on your ban"
Summary...they dont review anything, its all some flawed computer program with no remorse
Sooo basically uninstall the game and wait for Madden 27, since the game is basically useless without the Auction House.

Awesome so note to self, don't flip cards in Auction House higher than everyone else, and basically uninstall the game and wait for Madden 27 since the game is useless without the Auction House.

Then signed back in and coin wiped, permanent auction house ban
Was up to 50 million coins
Deserved. Play the game how it’s supposed to be played next year.

So taking risks and correctly forecasting market trends (and doing so legally) deserves a ban in your opinion?
Lol
I wonder what you think of ijoebruin who has 150 milly coins

I was selling cards at their current rates that night, wasn't trying overcharge
It's not my fault everyone had a ton of coins from zero chill and were looking to over pay
Also someone just sold 92 jalen carter for 550k when he sells for 200k on xbox....Wonder if they get banned
Sorry to hear. Plenty people try to work the system, but the guard rails are too strick. It's hurting the game.
People here seem more forgiving than I would ever be. Used to play 2k for several years with my son (I liked playing the AH and he liked playing the game). Right as they were starting one of their better promos, we got banned with no explanation. We paid for the game so ended up just starting new account and when the ban was overturned 2 weeks later (no explanation, but at that time twitter was filled with people who got banned without understanding why), we went back to our old account for the rest of that year. However, that was the last year we ever got 2K (definitely did not give 2K any money for packs or anything else the rest of the year) and switched to Madden instead. Every so often my son asks about whether we should get 2K again and I always so no.
My feeling is the same with Madden. Unless you are purposely doing something you know is risky (and playing within the rules they allow in the AH without any warnings should fall in that category), no company should take away a game you paid for based on a likely computer algorithm to try to catch cheaters but likely is formatted in a way to also catch people who are not doing anything wrong. If I was banned I would still continue playing the game I paid for (with another account) for the rest of that year, but would make sure never to give EA a dime again including ever buying one of their games. There is no game out there that is that good to be treated this way and it is really unlikely that these type of bans really increase their revenue. It is much better to just change the rules to make it more difficult to do whatever they want to stop or at least set up a warning system.
UPDATE
EA has denied my reappeal
They said that "I violated the user agreement, but they are unable to provide details on what I violated or how they determined my violation"
In other words, they cant provide proof I did something wrong, and can basically ban anyone for anything without providing reason
I am beyond furious now.
Im definitely motivated to pursue this more and will be trying to get in contact with an actual human instead of these BOT automated responses
or it sounds like I have to send them a certified letter to their corporate office?
.
I 100% guarantee i never purchased coins...if EA wants to monitor all transactions, I would be open to a full audit

They actually wrote that?!!
Unconscionable.
Seriously, are there any contract lawyers in MUT anywhere? Because this would get destroyed in a court of law. There's potentially grounds to have the ToS thrown out.

Yes, that was their response to my appeal
I used the template provide on this thread by @Mythomaniac
It was a very good template, simply asking what I violated so I could avoid doing it again
Their exact response...Definitely written by AI or a bot...no Human responsds ike this
"We have received your most recent correspondence expressing concerns about the action that was taken on your account.
After thoroughly investigating your account and concern, we again found that we actioned your account correctly after it was found to have violated our User Agreement. We will also be unable to provide any details regarding our internal procedures.
Due to this violation, we will not remove the sanction that was applied to your account."

I used this exact format and my appeal got denied - and they provided no evidence of my wrongdoing
Did you get your appeal overturned?
I think you said your ban got overturned in 2 weeks after you mailed them a letter
Can you share the address where you send that letter
Do you have the address where I should send a letter also
.
I dont care so much about getting my coins back at this time....I care more about wanting EA to stop banning people for no reason

I'm 100% with you on this one.
When I got banned, I had a little over a million coins and my team was no nothing special.
I believe that my bank was for one of two reasons.
1. BUYING up all the underpriced late night cards EA was releasing into the market.
I don't know if you remember, but last year, when they released the Stocking Stuffers Token sets, you would go into the AH and see a bunch of identical cards, same player, same price and posted at the same time.
One night I decided I was going to complete the set, but I was having trouble finding the cards so I decided to build them.
I was refreshing the page, when suddenly a ton of cards at 33% the normal price started popping up, so I did what any man in my position would do and bought as many as I could afford.
Spent all my coins, built the cards completed the set then went to bed.
That's it, the whole story.
Got home after work the next night, loaded up MUT and I was banned.
