3650 days since the first time I saw a scum kick. Madden 16 was my first full mut year and I remember getting swerve catch and scum kicked on by volterax. This also means scum kicking been in the game for over 10 years

You do know that you can move your kick returner to the spot someone is kicking to before he kicks it. It’s not a scum kick this year because there’s a way to stop it. Now in previous years it was scum because you had to sit there and watch it happen. Just move your return man to that spot so he catches it. Not a big deal this year

Word? Thanks man. I’ll give that a shot. I’ve moved a returner on accident before resulting in him being outta position to catch on a regular kickoff so I’ll have to be careful. Thanks!

Agreed. The scum kick ain’t game breaking by any means but rather annoying. Plus most times they fuck up and end up kicking it short 😂

The speed boost is a skill gap. Just because the other person can speed boost and you can’t doesn’t mean it’s unfair. It means you need to learn how to do it.
It’s not like you’re not allowed to speed boost while your opponent can. It’s a skill gap

Buddy I'm perennial top 100, I know how to speed boost. No it is not a skill gap, it's a glitch that they are now touting as a feature, which leads to plays that should be negative on offense undeservingly turning into explosive plays and every kick return an adventure. It makes defense in this game nigh impossible.
I just leave if they do a scum kick first kick, not dealing with that lol

No dumb questions here. A scum kick is when the other guy line drives the ball short but into the box on a kickoff resulting in it bouncing back towards the end zone but short of the goal line that is impossible for your returner to field. He’ll end up having to dive on it or worse, not be able to get to it in time. It’s an exploit that I guess these losers are practicing to be able to perform it. Someone here saying you can move your returner into a better position to try to counter this but even that will take some practice too because I wasn’t able to successfully do this today against the scum bags I played doing this. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thanks for the explanation. I understand now. I rarely play against other people because I suck at this game. Trying to get better though

“Buddy” it’s a skill gap. Anyone can speed boosting, it’s how good you can speed boost. Go watch pavan and look at his speed boost compared to other top mcs guys. He’s just better at it.
The stemmed down corner routes and auto motion in the beginning of the year were glitches. Speed boosting is not a glitch. Argue with a wall
