Have lower overall teams been remotely competive recently? The only way I'm winning is by playing keep away with the 40sec play clock.

By far the BEST year to start MUT at anytime in the years. The Weekly Spotlight Tokens helps fill a team fast with TOP END champions. Since you started late all your FREE cards will be 98-99. The Season Pass Cards are very vibable this year. Whenever we have new Promos, the free Upgradable cards this year has been used on most teams.

Shouldn't be that hard to catch up, especially with Easter promo starting tomorrow.

Theme team can help with lower overall players, along with the sayquon crystal boosts(~400k total) some 96s can hit 99 speed. Keeping up on weekly spotlight tokens can help too.

I would be more worried about the ability stacks than stats once you start hitting 90+ in the important stats.

My team is somewhat cheap built. The only difference i notice from the wallet teams is their x-factors always start lit up.

Running the exploits is going to get you much farther than getting a top-tier lineup. Get some players with functional speed, and get to watching those YouTube videos. There's all kinds of ways to cheat your way to victory this year.

I just started around a month or so ago, this was the easiest it's ever been to get to a 98ovr team. The spotlight tokens have been a huge help.

This. 25 tokens / 96-98 ovr is pretty quick to build up a nice base.

This is also significant. At this point, if you're going for 99 OVR as your primary goal, look for champions that have motivator chemistries that will elevate your other players.
