We used to be able to but I can’t figure out how to this year.

Hold both triggers and press up (opponent) or down (your own team) on the analogue stick to inspect those abilities, pre-snap.  I think that is how i do it.  Will also show things liek route info, et cetera.  It's definitely possible.

You are most welcome... hopefully i haven't provided bad info -- not in front of my console at the moment, it's become somewhat muscle memory at this point, half the time i'm barely aware of the button combinations i'm mashing.  Apologies in advance, i'm a bit of a Boomer.  If i got it wrong, i'll try to correct later this evening.
